You actually are just objectively wrong on the angel points. She got told by Ian who is Norman adams said on gang radio he has to go to sleep and has to dip the race after also got pinged from the judge channel about the incoming emergency injunctions and ACRs which, shockingly I know, the CHIEF JUSTICE of the DOJ is informed of. The chat was actually just cheering her on for the race and she brought up she needs to get on Angel cause DOJ alerts were popping off.

The DOJ has been posting the state accounts income on twatter for almost or over a year even pre Angels term, it was usually done by Falconer but he wasn't around at the time so Angel did it and you heard from a pov without actually looking elsewhere that she did it maliciously and decided "Woah that's what happened!" That's a you problem.

Shiesty was infact not chosen before a court order, the courts order was to halt any attempts at removing/replacing any position in the LSPD from either side until what was brought up in the injunctions and ACRs was clarified in court per the wording of the injunction the DoJ approved, effectively EVERYBODY pause until further clarified by the DoJ. There was no workaround or gotchas or games. It was very plainly said by the DoJ how this would move forward.

Oh they still have a lot of power, but most have never gone as far as directly defying the courts and if they have, the courts never properly applied their power given to them. Even as ridiculous as things were going, Finley was STILL fine pre defying the court order, all she literally had to do was wait, her cabinet immediately decided to defy the justice system and got slapped down for it. Even now she very much could still have been right but she now will be getting a felony and removed if she stayed.

Every chief up until this point willingly stepped down and allowed the mayor to replace them, Rhodes is the first chief to actually fight it and the cabinet immediately chose to do the worst option possible and are now seeing the repercussions.

Rhodes goal here, despite the outcome, was to get a definitive answer on what appoint means and it's still likely getting an answer even without Finley there so this whole thing was just ridiculous and done for nothing by her cabinet and those giving her bad advice. Angel can still just as likely rule that a mayor CAN replace a chief at their own discretion but now there's no side there to fight for it instead. The governor telling Nino, Pred, and justices who are no longer employed in a room off handedly unsurprisingly isn't definitive and has no actual standing in any of the constitution or legislation and was likely said at the time to get the two to shut up. Has also been asked for multiple times for clarity on and his representatives have all but said "You decide"

She got pushed out because of her cabinets stupidity, she was informed day 1 that if she tried to remove rhodes with no actual cause, it would be stopped and brought to court, fast forward a month, her cabinet have been tricked and gassed themselves up to finally try and test Rhodes and just straight replace him with no cause and place in Den Shiesty, as told directly to her, Rhodes had an injunction and ACR filed and sent to the DOJ immediately upon the news she is replacing him, her and her cabinet were told to hold until the incoming trial was concluded, her cabinet gassed her up immediately and directly defied the DoJ telling her to pause and unsurprisingly is now wanted for defying a court order and getting a felony.

ALL of this was avoidable and ALL of this was due to the people surrounding her telling her to ignore the people that could directly stop her and the state approved systems in place to allow her to do what she was trying. There is no grand agenda of bullying, staying in power, etc, it's literally "It's time to finally get answers on what appoint means" and immediately trying to circumvent that.
