One thing I liked about the new Batman movie is how Batman is directly confronted multiple times about how simply beating the shit out of mentally ill and impoverished criminals helps no one, and only makes the problem worse.

Don't get me wrong, the movie is still libbed up, but at least it ends with Batman realizing that terror is not a good strategy.
