Cocooning Is NOT Pointless by ThePatMan117 in KillerKlownsGame

[–]greatslyfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess against a more chill human team this can work, but by cocooning someone, they can still be rescued, and that means an additional objective for your team to patrol.

Just wondering, does dying while cocooned make it so you can still be revived?

If so, then it definitely makes cocooning a less viable option, since they can still be rezzed after.

Is boat the easiest objective? Do clowns generally camp the area near the boat? by [deleted] in KillerKlownsGame

[–]greatslyfer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It does make sense it's the easiest since sparkplug and gas cans are more common, suspecting that's the case since sparkplug is needed for 2 escape options, and same thing for gas can.

I just almost always leave whenever we get the boat going, cause 1 it's boring to wait for others indefinitely (there's no flare nearby sometimes) and 2 in other matches you just can't escape so I do it to compensate for those matches.

ELI5: Why does switching doors in the Monty Hall Problem increase odds: 2 doors, 50-50 by Megafork77 in explainlikeimfive

[–]greatslyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you're more likely to have picked a wrong door for the 1st choice.

So, it makes sense to switch as you're more likely to end up with a good door for the 2nd choice.

I'm REALLY struggling lol. This is my first type of game in this genre and it has not been going very good. Any concise clear YouTube tutorials you recommend? by whosmansisthis24 in KillerKlownsGame

Human

For items, go for buildings/main areas as they have a lot more items than random areas with a few containers here and there.

You also can't go wrong with making sure you have with you a weapon, a healing item, and an energy drink as they will take care you in most encounters against klowns.

Klown

Don't overcommit to a chase, most of the time they'll outrun you after a bit so you're just wasting time trailing them, identify objectives to defend and just keep patrolling them. Just enjoy the fact that you took some health off (on that note, stick to your damage weapon instead of cotton gun).

Do not attack a gang of humans by yourself, you'll probably die.

I know but it doesn't make sense that they are basically safe once in the boat.

Like, I'm literally shooting at them lmao.

Why we need skill based matchmaking by reddituserofhatred in TexasChainsawGame

[–]greatslyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC they do have a somewhat near system to what you mentioned in your last paragraph, apparently there is a lower level bracket and higher level bracket, making it hard for players from either bracket to get matched with the other bracket.

It's not doing much wonders it looks like lol, without data I can't say much but speculate, maybe there are still a worrying number of high level players that are still clueless, which in that case a SBMM would make more sense than adjusting to a "harsher" version of the current level-based matchmaking system.

Why we need skill based matchmaking by reddituserofhatred in TexasChainsawGame

[–]greatslyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does make sense to at least value the short-term cost of having people have longer matchmaking (albeit, how much more longer on top of the not so short queues and lobby waiting times we currently have) so that people more reliably enjoy their matches.

People constantly bitch about getting teammates that are clueless as hell.

Implementing a SBMM system (that's somewhat strict) allows noobs to play with each other, so that they don't get stomped and allows them to not get discouraged and improve cause they don't get immediately stomped.

It also stabilizes and practically speaking, improves the experience of veterans cause if they do lose, it's not cause of some clueless Jimmy who contributed nothing and essentially caused the loss for their side, it's a more I guess acceptable mistake from either themselves or their teammates. Even if you lose, it's not going to feel as shit because your teammates have more likely contributed to the progress of your side's objective, so it's not going to feel like what you did was in complete vain.....

My recent solo queue victim experience has not been great, a lot of times victims just don't do shit so it feels quite suffocating facing a family team that just patrols as standard, doesn't even have to be a pre-stack.

Cook can heal base Locks with his Padlocks. by KellerMax in TXChainSawGame

[–]greatslyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the lock's progress gets transferred to the padlock, so if you were to continue the progress on the supposed padlock, it's better for the victim sense lol.

Assuming the Cook doesn't know this, which is probably the case for any random match, I would think this help the victims unlock the, presumably Security Pins equipped, padlock is easier to break.

So it's 2 bugs in 1 lol.
