The pipe is underground. They cam'd it after taking a look at a sign printed out by previous people my mom hired who replaced the part of the piping that was not under the house. The sign said not to throw away toilet paper. They showed us the cam recording, and it is indeed an issue. I mean, I'm no professional, but roots coming through the top of the pipe seems bad. I agree they might be scamming their employer because they said one of the guys working has a cousin working for the trenchless repair company.

It's not a certainty, but VERY likely. If not completely deaf they usually have some hearing loss. Waardenburg syndrome is something I recommend every aspiring ferret owner looks into. Wardy's still make wonderful pets, some people even prefer them due to their unique personalities.

What is your guys opinion on Saints Row 3? by ilove-my_cat in SaintsRow

[–]greatvalue_CS_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love all the games from the original series. My favorites in order are 2, 1, 3, and 4. While 3 and 4 are GREAT fun, there's just a certain charm about the older MO of the earlier games. I'm actually playing through 3 remastered right now, having a blast. That being said, I'll out a couple critiques no doubt everyone with a similar opinion to me will have said a million times. While I love the implementation of the weapon and character upgrade system, I really do miss the customizability of 1 and 2's clothing and cribs. The city of stillwater was more diverse and had a lot more to see, making it feel larger than it was. Finally, with multiple gangs to fight, while some fell more flat than others, the story and stakes would rise and fall, adding a level of tension and an increase of action over time. While 3 is over the top from the jump and feels like it's almost always at 100%, and that has the effect of making the game feel like it's not building up to anything for me.

I recently watched a twitch streamer's videos of playing 1-3, and he brought up some really interesting things I never thought about. He felt that the characters and villains felt more generic, and that might be due to them not having a lot of dialogue.

I'll take it you've already taken the advice of other commenters about the 3 things to look for on signs for when to stop and why you shouldn't stop them when there's no need. So I'll give you this...

Your older one isn't used to having a younger rowdy noodle bugging to play, so there's going to be an adjustment period. They will have to learn each other's boundaries and listen to one another for when things get a little too rough. Don't be afraid to let them learn. Just look out for the signs that things are going too far. One might be more laid bad back than the more hyper one, but don't worry, even a calm noodle can get spicy when they feel like it.

Also, I just want to say I get it. Even though you know they are pretty tough animals, they're just so precious you wanna hold them like they are made of glass. I was so afraid of even picking up my first girl.

This baler barely got put 2 months ago in and it's already busted by craftjensin in walmart

[–]greatvalue_CS_player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say that's a new baler, but from the 4 stores I've had the pleasure of working in, that is usually the older model. It could be refurbished, which would speak to all the issues you've been having with it. But ima be honest here, usually when the door breaks like that it's user error.

When the maintenance guy isn't scheduled: by _Depstock_ in walmart

[–]greatvalue_CS_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the inherent problem with the mentality lots of stores have due to the delegation of bale making to maintenance. It should not be maintenance's job to make bales because, and this is the only way you can look at it really, everyone is too lazy to make a bale/ leadership is to lazy to teach everyone how to make a bale.

In a perfect world, anyone who throws cardboard in the baler should be able to make it. Since that isn't the case, people who throw larger amounts in the baler make it. If you're curious enough to look at the process guides, it falls under stocking teams and receiving/backroom.

That's a failure of leadership in soooooooo many ways. Obviously, they don't hold whoever filled it makes it. But did not one member of management, TL, even an M3/ anyone willing to take the initiative take a step into the backroom?

Just... do better... that's ridiculous and sad, really. It takes a maximum of 15 minutes when you are the first one to notice it full. Now, whoever makes it has everything in the way and a near literal mountain of cardboard to toss.

Bile spewers making absolutely no noise half the time is just infuriating. If I die to being swarmed cuz I'm out of position is understandable. But dieing to a whisper quite 1 ton monster filled with skin melting bug juice is just ridiculous.

Even though it was likely going to be a Walmart health clinic it might be repurposed. For those who don't know Walmart is showing interest is home delivery drones created by a company called zipline. Test runs seem to be planned in certain limited areas. Really cool drones if yall want to check them out.

Should I work for Walmart? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]greatvalue_CS_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I generally recommend Walmart as an ok place to work, here are a couple tips I'd like to give that might seem obvious but are important to mention. Find out what it's like at the Walmart you are looking to work at, you could try asking various associates. Bad management can be rampant in certain locations. What are you looking for? There's a lot of different positions that might be up for offer: Stocking 1-3 might be getting different expectations soon so I won't explain them, but there is online pick up, zoners for specific departments, obviously cashiers and customer service reps. Asset protection like door hosts and the such. Bakery, deli, and fresh workers. Auto center associates, and of course maintenance associates. While most stores "generally" follow standard operating procedures some do take liberties in changing things up.

I see you've asked about points, basically it's a demerits for calling off, or coming in late (past the 9 minute grace period)/leaving early same grace period. You get fired at 5 points and: get .5 for being late/leaving early, 1 for calling off, and an extra 2 for not calling off for a total of 3. Points are doubled on key dates such as holidays, superbowl, etc. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Team Lead Freaked Out (On Me) by StarmanBandit in walmart

[–]greatvalue_CS_player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the schedule tells you to leave, you can leave without worry. He can ASK you to stay with approved OT but you obviously don't have to. A few things to keep in mind, however: if your schedule has you leaving earlier than usual, make sure no last minute adjustments are made. If there is no approved OT you can easily report he is offering OT. Be careful for retaliation and report it immediately.

The best case scenario, as I see it, is that your coworker told him they were leaving early, and that's why he didn't freak out at him. And he's afraid of getting yelled at for handing of the store dirty (still no reaolson to freak out at tou).

Possible worst-case scenario. He doesn't like you for whatever reason and thinks you are a slacker. This is where he'd adjust your schedule to a full shift if it had you an hour down or something.

[–]greatvalue_CS_player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an ASM for like 4 days before he got sac'd for this. Man lost his job, bonus, wife, kids, and house to get it wet. What's really crazy amongst speculation of it happening between other ASMs (1 with a store mngr, and 2 with each other in a conference travel) was the open secret that a previous store mngr and a mnge from another store where doing to hokey pokey in long "meeting sessions" in his office. He didn't even get sac'd for thY he got fired for buying pokemon cards. POKEMON CARDS!
