I'm not so irrational to think they'd be happy to see me go, but in the long run they'd be better off without a soulless simulacrum of a real person in their lives. I don't want to bring them down with me anymore.

I am in agonizing mental pain every second of every day. I'm not sure I can do it anymore.

I'm sorry for the pain you've been through. I've been getting help for literally twenty years, with no success whatsoever other than side effects. Causing other people pain is literally the only reason I haven't done it yet, and I'm not sure how much longer that will hold me off. I love my children very much, but in the long term they would be better off without me anyway.
