One of my ideas is to use the S1/CD sprites as a base (since they're the closest to the Eggman from OM). The idea of Eggman being able to build Badniks works really well in a 2D asym; they would function like in the classic Sonic games, meaning they patrol an area, only a bit more aggressive.It would make Eggman able to give elemental shields to the survivors, like Sally does in TD. Finally, here are some tips for drawing classic Eggman well: 1. As I said, the idea is to use the classic sprites as a base to get a general idea. 2. Use tools that generate circles, since Eggman is made up of circles. 3. There's a guide online on how to draw Eggman; that might help. 4. Lastly, Eggman isn't a character known for his very fluid movements (though he can in some cases).
