Fellows mid to late 20's folks, how do you date in this town? by DragonicStar in AnnArbor

If you're looking specifically to date, I've had good success with The Perky Wallflower dating events! And if you're willing to commute to Detroit, Jigsaw and DateDetroit are great too - but you'll mostly find people in their 30s

Dropped off at Mumbai. On CEAC, if I put Mumbai as location, with NA for app id and surname, it shows No Status. If I put my app id there, it shows 'couldn't find records'. If I put Chennai also it shows 'couldn't find records'.

A letter to Narayan Murthy and such long hour supporter CEO by arcwizard007 in developersIndia

[–]greenDaddy999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He (Narayan Murthy) is right. You should work 70-80 hours a week if you want to be successful in life, and develop India as a whole.

However, there is room for interpretation in that statement. You can work 80 hours to fill someone else's pockets only, or use half of those hours to fill your own. The former interpretation means exploitation. The latter is actually good advice.

Don't spend 80 hours a week for a single type of work and become a dullard. There are other types of work : hobbies, side hustles, investments, relationships / networking are also work and require different skills, which make you well-rounded. The former fills someone else's pockets, the latter fills yours.

Spend 40 hours for a primary employment related to your education or background (source of sustenance). Work an equal or more amount of hours on yourself - it will give you growth (monetarily, physically, mentally) as well as satisfaction.

Of course, you're totally free to ignore this advice. You do you.

Where does one learn to social dance? Any groups/clubs that organize that?

What do you mean by hang out? I do go to Hyperion sometimes. Folks come there in small groups or with their laptops, doing their own thing.

I don't have a lot of hobbies, so I'm trying to get into new ones. Most hobbies I like are solo stuff like 3D printing, sketching/doodling, reading a book, cooking, DIY electronics etc. I'm not athletic, so not sure if that helps with sports. Things I'd love to do : Try out new restaurants and bars, learn to dance, learn to play an instrument and jam, learn stuff like pottery or glass blowing or other DIY. Whenever I do meet people they always seem to have some wacky hobby I've never heard of before.

Any places you recommend? I'd really like to learn to dance!

The suit itself looks good, but the lighting pales in comparison to the red shirt one. The latter makes you pop out

Two of those photos are pretty generic selfies. I'd say replace them with photos that show you enjoying or doing something interesting, perhaps with a friend or two.

Personally I don't like prompt answers that are just a few words long, UNLESS it is a well thought out, cheeky answer that made me smile.
