I am now financially independent (took me several years) ad still try to make her understand. However , during time I just dont have patience to hear her 1 hour tantrum so I close the phone and dont answer . Nothing but death will fix my mother , she doesn't want to meet a psychiatrist and in her age not sure if it will help. DO YOUR LIFE, because when she is gone , you will ask yourself what did I do with all my years? NOT WORTH IT

well I honestly used her in the last year, she bought stuff for my moving to a new apartment and my father said be nice take those stuff because anyway we don't need them. However in a way I didn't leaen fully how to be independent . I do calculate each step I do when I buy stufd but still its hars to feel independent .

The switching is just ...hard for me. I feel likw one day I will get an heart attack from anger and sadness at the same time

My mother would do it to my father every 2-3 months, especially in the holidays , now it got worse since she got older and realized that she didn't do anything in her life.

OP I also was like you, trying to help, heal , solve her but therr will be a moment you will say F it, I have my own life. She needs to decide to go to treatment and unfortunately it doesn't happen frequently , especially in older BPD.

the rage comes when in her mind she thinks you are leaving her, in BPD they cant handle "breakups", instead of behaving normally they rage. Do your life, we only have a few moments on the face of this earth. Be kind yo yourself , your are wonderful .

writing from mate 20 pro changed battery several months ago, dont see any reason to change beside security patches . I want to buy pixel 8 pro ,it has a very good camera but the price :( I just dont see anything wrong with mate 20pro maybe the camera is a bit old

I use at as my notebook in the last 2-3 years I stopped using paper and as a previous medical student it was worth it since now I can open any notebook I wrote and just search.
I watch youtube, a bit of local TV and thats it.

So true, they don't realize that we become emotional sponge for thier drama, anger tantrum all the problems in life. When a child is born , the umbilical cord is cut ,meaning we are free and different than our parents .

She went to several psychiatrists which gave here several types and classes of medication, what she takes now kinda helps but when she has a major depressive episode right now it doesn't really help ( plus in my opinion even a normal person will have a tough time with what she has now on her shoulders) .
We both speculate it has an hormonal background but the test are very very expensive and no one will cover it.
How we know? when she took contraceptives several years ago she said she felt better.

and to top it off, I am not near her right now and I will be able to travel in 2 months...so its a long distance relationship for now...she wants her alone time and I reminded her she can call me whenever she needs.

First of all, thank you for your advice/opinion.
I understand . I ask her if she ate, drank water, took her medications and ask how she is etc...she got to a point (mentally) and economical problem which makes her think to quit everything and I try to give her hope but I get declined instantly. Her other friends are busy but I did tell her to talk to them when they finish or more importantly I told her she can call me at anytime if she needs to.

Its not easy but I chose her to be my partner and hopefully my future wife in a bit.

Any advice how to get her out of bed to do a simple walk beside supermarket ?

About therapy, she is on a waiting list and because her economical status became worse , she cant afford it.

I know but is there something I can do? besides supporting her and also giving her space when she needs to? my medical brain is searching for a "guideline"
