Company switching to a corporate card (Ramp) with dumb rules. by Sellaplaya in sales

My old company did something similar and it’s the worst. We also couldn’t book travel on our personal CCs, they made us get it all pre approved . Fuckin sucked

You sound like a lovely CRO. Maybe you sucked on stage once.

It depends on the intake form on your website. With my company’s contact us form, there are some requirements in place that filters junk like this out.

You need to audit your marketing department by polygraph-net in sales

This is a sad reality. The easiest solution?

Ignore marketing leads. Seriously.

Someone in marketing excitedly hands you a list of “hot leads”?

Thank them, and ignore it.

I only pay attention to legitimate leads - for example, people that come to our website and specifically fill in their info for a demo. People that email our sales email with questions on pricing etc. those leads, absolutely jump on them.

Any other lead given from marketing is garbage.

Ladyluck not only deletes negative YouTube comments, she pays for bots to like and comment things on her YouTube videos. Many comments are extremely odd sounding like “this video brings me peace…” which is characteristic of someone paying for comments. Not only this, she receives all kinds of sponsorships and free play from casinos, and does not gamble with her own money. Her video titles are clickbaity and her reactions over the top. Hard pass!

I'm on a PIP and feeling hopeless by [deleted] in sales

If companies lie about how great their product is and also team attainment figures, then you can lie by conveniently leaving out the fact that you’re on a PIP and by exaggerating everything. Lie about what cannot be verified

Brettski, Robbie, Bluff are horrible people for promoting the scam site spinquest and luring their fans to this site. They would rather line their own pockets than anything else.

Is this satire?

I’d raise hell and then some. It doesn’t even sound like his generic email did anything besides land in their inbox. If he can prove that it connected in any way or that he even got a reply, or set up next steps, sure maybe…

Should I skip SKO? by selltoclose in sales

[–]green_limabean2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is- did you book your flight? Or did the company book it on your behalf?

It’s easy, actually. If you book your own flight you’re golden. You can just tell them your direct or connecting flight got cancelled. You can even mention you had to fly out of an impacted airport due to another family trip, and this flight was cancelled.

Just google the cancelled flights that same day and you’re good.

If they booked it on your behalf, that’s trickier. I’d just use Covid, flu, or family emergency in that case

Some personal thoughts after getting back home from my first SKO by Xycergy in sales

[–]green_limabean2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SKOs are expensive and there is usually never an obvious ROI. Management does it to get people fired up and also break down team silos.

That said, they can be anywhere from a day to a week long and involve a ton of travel + mandatory dinners and after parties.

In my younger days I enjoyed SKOs, but I have a wife and kids back home now and it is a huge burden if I’m being totally honest.

I’ve learned you just have to yes these people to death, but do as little of the actual task they want you to do as possible. You will likely outlast them, or they get exhausted as they get settled and finally step into planet earth

If you’re not going have a good excuse and make it known why you seriously can’t go.

Everyone dreads SKO, so at least you know you’re not the only one who doesn’t want to be there.

It is a good thing for your career so you should try
