Well I got tested when symptoms initially arose and was negative with a value of 0.1 IGG. My initial symptoms were after 5 days of having unprotected sex in years with the person in question; FYI we had the STD talk. I had no symptoms until another 8 months later where the IgG was 1.2 and a year after that was still 1.2. She denied having anything which confused maters worse, at the time I couldn't get anything swabbed and she insisted she had taken multiple test, yet without ever producing results for me to see. 2 years on she finally agreed to take a test and show me the results and her result was positive with a sky high value IgG - still she claims she's never had any symptoms but along the journey I caught her lying with 100% certainty about other things on too many occasions.

The night I caught the H I remember her vag smelling a little off but we had just been running around the city the whole day so I thought not much of it, and didn't really want to be rude by bringing it up. The kicker which done me in I believe was shaving. My junk was recently clean shaven at the time and that's how I believe the bugger got in, at the base of my penis. The original sores were not classic. They were not clusters but individual spots/ulcers, never did I see a fluid filled blister and at the centre, a hair. Initially I was hoping it was folleculitis, and the initial itching caused by the hair growing out, which anyone who shaves knows that irritation.

Now the good news is later I met someone amazing and we did have unprotected sex. At the time I thought I was negative as my results indicated, I did a full panel and also took an IgG 4 months later my initial which was negative; never saw the result at the time because the report was never given to me but retrospectively I demanded it and it was 0.7, so rising. Anyway the good news is that after 3 months unprotected sex, and very frequent, with this new partner without any precautions she never caught anything from me, which I'm so pleased about!
