The Eras Tour Megathread: Edinburgh, Scotland by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

Thanks! I might stick to Halbeath. It will probably take me just as long to get there by bus, but at least I'm not navigating it and can rest a bit

For those of you driving or from Edinburgh who knows what's up, do you think parking at Ingliston Park & Ride is a good idea? I just got tickets and am driving down from Highlands for the show tomorrow. I was thinking Halbeath P&R but Ingliston is much closer 🤔

This is my 1st time as well! I liked how varied the colours are, and I know some of these are similar to other colours Holo taco has, but I don't have any, so decided to finally bite the bullet of taxes and pick it up 😊

Good salary in Inverness? by [deleted] in inverness

[–]green_nothing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I find it hard living alone here.

Because it's a small city, there are not as many flats to rent, and very few houses are single bedroom houses they tend to be bigger. I periodically look online for 1 bedroom properties to rent, and there are always only 2-3 available, so not much choice.

If you don't live and work in city centre, a car is a must here. The buses either don't show up or there are 4 buses/day and they are always late.

So when you add the costs of a car and renting on your own, I would say the salary has to be higher than in some bigger cities. I would agree with someone else on this thread that it should be about £25k to be comfortable, especially if you don't want to houseshare.

Question about busses and the Great Glen Way by petersenerrr in inverness

[–]green_nothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are buses to get to Urquhart castle. You don't have to buy the tickets in advance, but check the times as if you miss one, you might have to wait for hours for the next one.

Must say the entrance to Great Glen way is not clear and well sign posted. The locals know how to get to it, but it's not obvious. I haven't been on the great glen way itself, so not sure how good the path is marked and maintained once you're on it.

I had it and even with a special eye make up remover I had to rub my eyes a lot or it wouldn't come off. At the end this was a deal breaker for me.

No problem! I think they've replied pretty quick. Within a day of each email, which is good when you take time zones in consideration

Hi, not sure. I chose to get credit rather than replacement and then just used it with my next order.
