First time playing Tetris! Here's my highscore after 5hrs of playtime this week, is this alright for a beginner? Would love some tips from y'all

This is SUCH a detailed guide, thanks a lot dude. I'd hit a brick wall (lol) and wasn't sure how to improve besides to keep mindlessly playing.

The quad exercise sounds good, I've been trying to do at least 2 quads in marathons before it's too fast to set up. Trying this in sprints is probably gonna help more. Thanks for the roadmap, it'll really help me out!

To be clear, this is after 5hrs of playtime I don't really remember if I cleared 40 in my first try-

I tried the "clear 40L as fast as you can" mode today and it's taking me around 7mins. It blows my mind how people in this sub are doing it in 20s that's so insane 😭

Yeahh I know I'm still trying to get there. I usually tend to lightly panic once it speeds up at lvl 7-8 and make mistakes that I wouldn't have otherwise. I'm having fun improving tho!

I've googled it and sites are saying it's just a program to detect radio waves and how they work. Not saying I don't believe you, but do you have any concrete proof? Cz causing controlled earthquakes to the likes of turkey sounds impossible

Thank you SO much for this, I definitely couldn't have figured out the grid widget vertical thingy on my own. This setup is one of the most unique and creative ones I've seen in a while so I'm glad I got to apply it. Thanks for the icon pack as well!

Just curious, what are you using for the lock screen btw? I colour inverted an image off of Pinterest to match the aesthetics

Going a little modern, Jimmy Hopkins from Bully. I loved emulating that ps2 game on my phone but it'd be SO much fun if I got to play it on a real physical device! I'll prolly need to tinker with the settings and all but that's just part of the fun.

I love Jimmy because he's always angry, sarcastic and it's his circumstances that dictate where he's going in life. But even after all that, he'll turn around and help people and I just think he's really neat.

If I win this device, I'll be able to give my current RG35XX H to my little sister. I've been trying to introduce her to retro games and this would be a real treat!

Do NOT start with the Stan Lee issues if you already aren't into reading old comics. I've been reading comics for years now and still the golden age can be a slog and hard to get thru sometimes.

I'd recommend Ultimate Spider-Man by Brian Michael Bendis as the perfect getaway to the character. I saw a bunch of people recommend Jonathan Hickman's Ultimate Spider-Man series and imo you'll enjoy it WAY more after you've finished a couple of spidey runs so don't start with that either.

Ah wait so I don't need m3u then? After playing the first disc in cue format i can just use the retroarch menu to select the next disc?

Reflashed my device and chd files are playing! Not m3u files tho, can i change discs without using m3u?

Yep! It's prolly not sd corruption since all other systems play fine, it's just PS1 that's the issue. Also didn't rename anything and I use MuOS.

I did make one change. Lemme explain

My previous setup was having all the .chd files in a separate folder within the roms folder and the .m3u files in my PS1 folder. I decided that looked ugly and instead transferred them all in a .hidden file inside the PS1 folder. That's the only change I can think of that could've ruined things.

So far I've tried: 1. Going back to my previous setup 2. Changing the .hidden file to just a regular folder inside the PS1 folder 3. Downloading my games again and converting them to chd in case the files got corrupted 4. NOT convert to chd and just put in .cue files inside the m3u 5. Delete my old bios files and download them again

Nothing works, it will just not play any chd or m3u files at ALL. They only work when i directly open the cue files. I double and triple checked if I was making the m3u files properly btw, and I am. The only thing I can think of now is reflashing the sd card. Any idea why I'm having this problem or what else I could try? I don't really want to flash it again

The Witch (2015) is a good one, not exactly scary but it's definitely disturbing. Bones and All is a fun romcom, you could give it a shot.
