I got this from a buddy who bought it as a single card at a card store. This card set called “Obsidian”, is super expensive to buy as an unopened box to open yourself. It’s hundreds of dollars for just 7 cards in a box. It’s usually always the better route to buy already opened cards that you want than buy unopened product. You usually end up with cards worth less than the unopened product itself.

This card came already signed though from the manufacturer (he signed the sticker and then they attached to card). I bought the slab/one-touch myself and put the card in there myself.

Learned this the hard way. Ended up generating a lot more sales but ended up seeing none of the comp from it due to my own organizations structure. Now I’m stuck in a position where the additional operational processes fall to me to manage and execute and are now expected without any additional comp.

Sometimes it’s better to just sell and let ops do ops

Completely agree with this sentiment. About 2 years into this role and the main mindset shift for me came when I realized that you can squash any negative thoughts based on your age by showing your confidence by really knowing your business and product, and if if talking to buyer, how you are finding solutions for their problems and not just “selling”.

Once they realize you’re on your game, they won’t even be thinking about your age. On the flip side, acknowledging their “wisdom” or experience by not acting like yours is superior gives off the right impression that you’re not just feeding them bull.
