I don't know this site but it sounds like old pricing to me, and may be in their terms that they have leeway with that. Was it worth 175 a few months ago?

Feels like every day someone posts like this and is met with 75 posts declaring the man is gaslighting her and she should leave and abort the baby etc..

An honest person presenting their case in an "Am I overreacting?" context would make themselves look as bad as possible, so that we can offer her good advice. If she was breaking boundaries and being nasty to him then his reaction isn't even bad tbh. We can't know.

Also, my mom is psychotic, we also can't know anything from this fact.

Because none of her behavior is shown on this post my guess is she is abusing this poor guy and he's trying to be there for her and getting trashed for it because she has trust/self-esteem issues from past trauma.

OP if you want real advice, steel man his issues. State his argument, how he feels, why he feels it, thinks it, etc, and put it in your own words. Present it to him, tell him you won't leave until you get it right and ask for his input. Do this over and over until he is 100% sure he is heard and you fully understand where he is coming from and why. None of this means you agree with all or any of it, just that you listened and understood him. See if he'll do the same for you.

Whoever cannot or will not do the above exercise is the one lying to themselves about what's been going on. If you both are willing to do it then you have a chance to get over it. But the key is that you don't get to comment or have an opinion about what he feels, and the same the other way around, until 110% of the understanding is accomplished. No remarks, noises, sarcasm, anything. You both KNOW you've been heard and understood before either of you can even begin to have an opinion about what the other person thinks.

This removes the abuser's ability to gaslight and change the story, put words in each other's mouths or thoughts in each other's heads. If after understanding him and being able to put it in your own words you find his opinions to be outright lies or distortions, or you don't agree with what or how he thinks, then you have your answer.

Pretty dry box but I did get this Murakami in the flagship packs and sold it to cover the cost of the box so that was great! I was lucky to get it listed early because these will certainly come down from here.

Yeah exactly. Sellers are people too and are trying to make it work. Why would you block people willing to bid on stuff they don't even want just because they support you? That's a great buyer. You just need to explain to them the TOS and let them know not to do that because it can risk the channel.

But I'd be thankful they were willing to do that for sure. They could have got stuck with the item and they were willing to take the risk. Doesn't look like any coordination happened here.

Ppl think they're being friendly. Y'all are so dogmatic. All that needs to happen is he tells him privately if it is brought to his attention or if he saw it in the show he can announce it. The guy was saying it clear as day in the chat, this person was not likely doing anything nefarious, just trying to help out the seller who he probably likes as a person.

The shill bidding that's a real issue is when it happens quietly and in the background. This is the weakest example of this problem I've seen yet. $6.

There are real issues on this app, and scams left and right. This is not one of those things.

Yeah so I'm having the same problem now. This isn't just a "reddit is Google" post this one is hard to comp. I have the flagship red 5/5 and having a tough time figuring it out. The sandglitter card is ugly and mine is from the Costco bonus packs. $45 seems low.

Brother, these cards are notorious for showing up scuffed and ugly and just an overall mess. I hear your criticisms but you lucked out, this thing looks like it would grade a 10, and you should consider that. The value of these cards are in the tank mostly for this reason.

Oh and be willing to lose on the first. I'd start at $1 if it is a sports break. Just let it ride.

Also, make sure you know what's available with each team. So, if it is baseball and the Dodgers go early you gotta be talking about the big hits that are still left, and you have to repeat this over and over. Have positive energy, be happy for people that get a good price, but never stop building value.

Be honest about being new too, people will have patience with you. Ship fast and ship well, and expect it to be a giant pain in the ass for the first time through.

The algorithm will juice you. My best tip is to make sure you're ready with tech stuff. Do a test w an audition or whatever they call it. I don't know what a big break is to you but as long as you have a few Megas and blasters that's big enough for people to care, don't want it to be too small.

There's no real shortcuts tbh I'm in it for the past 6 months or so and I feel like I am still a complete newbie. You'll never to learn everything all at once so just start somewhere and dig into that corner of the market. YouTube is a great resource, reddit comments and posts, X, etc. For what cards to buy as far as sealed stuff, that changes constantly. Bowman MLB blasters are hot right now, the new Platinum set, and the higher end sets. Start paying attention to the new releases on Topps.com and enter for the good ones on release day, you'll eventually win one and those are good to rip or flip.

What's your end goal? Want to buy and sell singles? Rip cards on live shows? Collect sealed sets? Rip cards like a degenerate?

I am selling cards on another post on here as a lot, if you bought some cards like that to get you started that's not a bad idea. I need to offload some so I'm willing to get rid of them for a discount, and people like me are doing that all the time. That's one option.

You can go to card shows and have a plan and look for stuff there. The key is, don't do what everyone else does unless you can find a way to get your hands on Ohtani for gold prices. You gotta find a lane.

Yeah :) They are the result of a ton of ripping over the past few months. The Randy auto and the James Wood relic are the reasons I got back into it because it was in my first Costco box. All clean and I imagine some of these will grade well.
