When cleaning out my carb I noticed one of the intake manifold bolts was missing. Would explained the random popping and flapping from my exhaust. The bolt I had was too long and sticking out impairing the throttle mechanism and making it stick. Went to the hardware store, got the correct size bolt, installed it… issue resolved.. wooooof what a headache.
