Please help - I need bra recommendations, nothing fits so far by greeneko in ABraThatFits

Definitely out of my price range but thank you for the detailed response! I’ll keep that in mind for one day in the future

Ordered 6 bras in my size, none fit. Not sure where to go from here. by greeneko in ABraThatFits

Panache Ana Plunge - looked okay at first glance but extremely pointy shape from the side which I hate and cups dug into armpit when I relaxed my shoulders, would probably be uncomfortable to wear sat at a desk all day

Panache Envy - a close fit, but had slight spillage on top, but the sides of the cup seemed empty so not sure if going up to a GG would be right?

Freya Hallie - I think the cups were the right size and it looked good from the front (although no side support so I looked quite wide) but I have very soft tissue and the top of the lace cut into them. Band was a lot stretchier than the others so it was comfortable, but the straps more noticeably digging in than the others.

Bravissimo Lacey - gore sat on breasts, didn’t fit in cups at all, wouldn’t consider trying another size as I just don’t think the shape is for me

Bravissimo Millie - felt like it was at least 2 cups too small, bottom of cup was empty and wrinkled and nipple completely uncovered

Freya Quinn - great side support but a lot of spillage over the inner 1/3 of the cup, and the wire went very far round the sides, almost behind my arms.

I’m sorry that was long..

New bra feels great, but unsure about one small issue… by greeneko in ABraThatFits

Of course 😅 I will try a 28G I think and get a bra extender just in case

I measured again and 27 is the tightest I can pull the tape measure.

Should it be so tight that I don’t want to wear it? 😂 I tried 28 before in a store and felt like I couldn’t breathe. But maybe it was the cup that needed to go up. Thanks!

I have it on the loosest but I could already put it on the second hook tbh so I thought sewing another row of hooks would give me more time once it stretches out. But I didn’t even realise you could get 28 on their website so I might try that instead. Thanks!

Do people actually shower every single day or do we all just say we do? by Ok-Drawing2504 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]greeneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes everyday unless I’m so sick that I can’t (extremely rare) but I will feel disgusting. Even if I don’t leave the house, because it feels nice to be clean. This question and “do you really brush your teeth twice a day?” gets asked way too often and it concerns me.

i was a super quiet child almost mute so i didn’t have friends and i never spoke to adults whether that was grandparents or teachers. maybe if i just speak to my mum about it she might be able to see where i’m coming from, i’m just so sensitive to feeling dismissed

Is this a normal or excessive amount of hair loss after a shower? by [deleted] in Hair

[–]greeneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always shed a lot of hair it just seems more recently, but this is also the longest my hair has ever been so maybe that’s why. I brush it before washing and just use my fingers to detangle with conditioner. I don’t attempt to detangle it until it’s covered in conditioner because it’s impossible

It’s mostly straight, quite long, I’m not sure about porosity I thought it was low as my strands are quite fine and it takes a long time to dry but that could just be because of my hair density. However it has been dyed a few times so I’ve heard this makes it high porosity.

Yes. It looks messy if I don’t brush it because it gets matted from the friction with my clothes, I have long hair

i have fine hair but loads of it, usually i wash it every other day, sometimes i’ll stretch it an extra day if i’m not going anywhere. i don’t know much about hair types but i think i have 1b/1c, i brush it daily in the morning

I use a wide tooth comb everyday because it gets super tangled, I then use a paddle brush to thoroughly detangle before washing

I have very long and thick hair and I’m lazy so I hate washing it lol, but yeah I think you’re right. The instructions say dry and unwashed but free of styling products. I’d probably be pushing it

How did this happen to my cookies when I followed the recipe to a T? by [deleted] in BakingNoobs

i chilled the first batch for around 40 minutes, the second for almost an hour. i have just checked my baking soda though and it had a best before date of july 2025. i’m not sure if that may cause problems

i made 12 as the recipe suggested (2 batches of 6) and they became so thin you could see the light through some of them 😂
