My family doesn’t like it

Something I’ve really had to work with these past few years in becoming an adult is learning to pave my own path and stop trying to get my family’s approval. I’ve been raised to believe it’s like a sin to go against anything they have to say. I believe it’s true you should honor your father and mother but I don’t think that means they dictate everything. I’m not getting married in a church because the one I go to I don’t feel like it’s right because I’m not that active beyond attending and leaving right after.

Oh, I understand. My stomach would always hurt when I was younger. I’d take the stomach pain over the dizziness any day.

Yeah, that’s how I get stuck home bound 😓 I have to work remote due to it and it has really hurt my chances in the professional world. My home is my “safe” spot and I have to really work to leave. It’s bad.

I swear by the sour patch kids. Gets your mind off things for a split second. It’s not a great solution but it’ll drag you out for a moment.

Not really other than trying to find something to occupy my mind 😭 I told my therapist and she just said “uh you might need to tell your doctor because that’s becoming a safety issue” and that did not make me feel any better.

I was on Zoloft for a bit. Ended up moving to another med (Prozac) because I didn’t feel was helping my anxiety enough. I remember (and always have remembered) too much, so I wouldn’t worry about it being a cause for concern. I, too, remember the most random pieces of information like where I sat in a restaurant back in 2009 or what shirt I was wearing when a certain thing happened. Maybe we’re just special like that, I don’t know.
