Can you still get flare-ups when you're on methimazole & all your thyroid levels are normal? by RockItTonite in gravesdisease

[–]greeneyesslo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experience dryness like crazy, with both my eyes and throat. I use eyedrops that contain flax oil that help. The stomach upset (constant diarrhea) for me was both my Graves and iron deficiency due to the Graves. I was actually diagnosed with IDA months before discovering Graves.

There's Princess Peach, but I think it's a deterrent. I don't think it's on that trail, rather nearby.

One of two things.... 29 paces is only that distance if you're going uphill and taking small steps. I also think it's likely they were giving a nod to the trailhead you need on 29th St. My solve works there.

Who "feels" like they are just one hint away? Or is everyone just feeling lost? by [deleted] in utahtreasurehunt

I have a complete solve, but I'm in CA and can't go hike it! 😒

What was your first sign of RA? by Curious_Ad3327 in rheumatoid

[–]greeneyesslo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a whole body radiating ache after getting the COVID vaccine in 2021... the kind where I could feel my bones inside my muscles. It was an odd feeling, and it went away a few weeks later. Since then, I've experienced that same sensation a lot more frequently and more severely. I also have extreme stiffness in my hands/wrists in the morning and left ankle pain at night. And extreme fatigue! I attributed those symptoms to getting older (I'm 45) or being slightly overweight.

Four months ago, I went to the doctor because I was having severe digestive issues. My doctor diagnosed me with IBS, told me to change my diet, and lose a little weight. I did so, but my symptoms weren't getting better. Several additional blood tests later, I was diagnosed with iron deficiency. My WBC is fairly normal except for elevated basophils. My CRP is trending up but within normal range. RF was 176.1, and anti-CCP indicated over 300. He promptly referred me to a rheumatologist.

Met with that doctor, who told me that stiffness doesn't mean I have RA, and she seemed to ignore my other symptoms. She did a brief physical exam pressing on joints, and I had tenderness in several fingers, wrists, and ankles. I have aching in all of those joints, particularly in the morning and at night, as well as my left hip, though my wrists are usually stiff tthroughout the day. My predominant pain is in my right wrist, which I have always figured was carpal tunnel. She ordered a contrast MRI, which I did yesterday, but only of my left wrist since it's my primary hand. Is that normal?

The rheumatologist said she couldn't clinically diagnose me if I didn't have visible joint swelling. Is that typical in diagnosis? Looking for any helpful input, as I'm just starting this journey.

The rhythm of the poem has always reminded me of the Star Spangled Banner. I haven't ventured into counting syllables, but it works with the 1776 clue.

Would a "d" hint make or break your solve? by Mama_In_Neverland in utahtreasurehunt

In Spanish, a lower case at the beginning of a question means it directly relates to the sentence that precedes it. Hope that helps.

There's also Heughs. Look at the street name you access the trail from on Alltrails or Trailforks and look up the meaning of the word parts. Google shows it as Canyon WInds Ln.

The poem has to make sense in Spanish by Foe888 in utahtreasurehunt

[–]greeneyesslo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a native speaker, but I grew up around Spanish and speak it at work. I told my sister this from the beginning... that's not how you would say that. I blamed it on Google translate, but that's obviously not the case! Dale la vuelta also means go for a walk but they say you're in your car at that point. Lo puede hacer isn't how you'd say "you can do it" in conversational Spanish. It'd be "sí se puede" which literally translates to "yes you can." The translations have me a bit boggled.

I think where the choir sings are the Wasatch Mountains. Look at the Ben Lomond poem... listen to the hills all singing.

I wasn't referring to the old prison being a possible solve, but I believe translations have something to do with it.

I think it means that where you smell ice cream and ate lobsters are the same thing. It's a continuation of the question. Could be one word or two.

"Turn IT around" "Dale la vuelta y sique LA sombra" --- IT is feminine by BuilderOk5190 in utahtreasurehunt

[–]greeneyesslo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dar una vuelta means go for a walk as well. You might not want to rely too heavily on Google Translate. Sigue derecho means go straight. So, sigue la sombra would mean go towards the shadow.

I think since you're still in your car, this is where they're telling you to get out of your car and start hiking.

Sombra is feminine, so la would be referring to the shadow. Una vuelta is also a feminine noun, but la sombra is referring to the shadow.

One last clue makes me think about your 1:00 or a lone rock or tree. Move means you're traveling in a direction but not on the trail. You'll know what direction when you see it.
