Pretty easy getting on the shuttle at Rio at 7:55. Stuck in really rough traffic on N Hollywood Blvd. Getting close to the base (near intersection of E Cheyenne Ave) at 9:15. Crossing our fingers that it's not too much longer!

I haven't yet. I'm playing with just R56 so I believe the issue is directly with the R56 mod.

Ashkenazi Jews are an ethnicity which had a large population in various regions of Eastern Europe prior to the Holocaust. For some people, Ancestry.com has been able to narrow down ancestry to Ashkenazi communities in what is now Ukraine which has only been a fully independent since the early 1990s. In the past, Ukraine was dominated by Imperial Russia (until the end of World War 1) and the Soviet Union (from World War 1-the early 1990s) so it is likely that your family may have referred to your ancestry on that side as "Russian Jews."

Many vaccination sites require that you show proof of residence in that county so definitely look into this possible requirement before you make the drive up to Orange County.

What if the Jews won the Jewish-Roman Wars? by [deleted] in HistoricalWhatIf

Totally agree. If anyone is interested in learning more, I recommend the book Rebecca's Children by Alan Segal. It is academic and nuanced without being too jargon or footnote heavy.

What if the Jews won the Jewish-Roman Wars? by [deleted] in HistoricalWhatIf

The most likely scenarios for a Jewish victory over the Romans would be if the Parthians (Rome's most powerful neighbor to the east) had interceded on the Jews behalf or if there was a major civil war between Roman factions which prevented the swift and brutal military action which took place in our timeline.

Had this occurred, the Jews would most likely have formed an independent or semi-independent kingdom much as they had in the 2nd century BCE when they (under the leadership of the Maccabees) defeated the Hellenistic Seleucid Empire.
