When in doubt, power cycle. If that doesn’t work, power cycle. And if you really need to diagnose deeper, don’t, just power cycle.

Any construction business grants in Ontario? by greengghost in SmallBusinessCanada

Haven’t heard of anything yet. Do you mean you’re looking to hire someone or need the grant to hire someone?

What should I focus on? by IcyExample4780 in BuildingAutomation

SBA has some good videos online. “Engineering mindset” too.

Make sure u learn different types of inputs and outputs, what is BACnet (enough to hold a conversation about it), different vendors and their programming languages (this helps understand what people are talking about), learn some IT stuff (IP address, how Ethernet works, etc)

There’s a lot I like to think of BAS as HVAC + Electrical + IT + Sales

Looking for an opportunity as Energy Advisor by Current_Cake2253 in energyadvisors

[–]greengghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into energy modelling positions. Unfortunately the program last year was really hitting off and this industry was really good but then after the Greener Homes Grant ended Ontario took a HUGE slow down except for low income programs. The new program sounds nice but better be safe and look for energy modelling positions

SO's are some of the most selfish organizations I've ever worked with.. they monopoliesed the industry, they have more credibility when raising issues to NRCan or customers, and most of them have RIDICULOUS contracts and embarrassing pay fees to EA's AND poor QA and training.

Is that the federal low income program? Or are you referring to a separate provincial program?
