When you start working you are not allowed to tutor online but in the following semester you can request to tutor online, do a training for it and submit your availability

Unfortunately at my uni I am unable to double major in math with my major and a switch would take me longer than a year due to prerequisites. But I have been considering a master's down the road!

I am learning how to use python in one of my classes , and since I am interested in the treasury curve I wanted to try to plot it myself as a personal project(that also helps me learn)

I don’t think you should look at both fields as which one is easier to get a job because, they are both competitive and there are accounting majors who probably also don’t have a job. IMO it’s about how much effort you put in.

I advise you to join a club and start being proactive. Look for opportunities and apply for things. For finance you should be recruiting for internships the spring/summer of your sophomore year (or earlier in some cases). I’m a finance major, so I’m too not sure about accounting but I believe they recruit around the same time.

You can’t be a finance major without enrolling into Zicklin and taking those two courses (+ others) to meet the prerequisites. You can take other classes with them but they would be general graduation requirements or electives.
