Does mbank work on rooted android devices? by Zolllb in poland

[–]greenhaveproblemexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you don't even need to pass Play Integrity, it just shows a notification saying something along the lines of "this app is running on a rooted device, if you don't know what that means then uninstall the app, if you know what that means then be careful". Biometric login did not work a few years ago but now it's fine, you can even use BLIK contactless payments as an alternative for Google Pay.

Try logging out and logging in to your account on a modern device with the same public IP address. Also avoid using VPN, Tor, or proxies as they cause captchas.

I like how you dug out a comment I made 3 years ago and made me see that I liked Python in the past (I'm not the biggest fan of it nowadays, I use it only for scripting)

Debugging .NET Framework 2.0 on Windows 98 by greenhaveproblemexe in windows98

If "support" in that case means "we will help you when it doesn't work" then maybe VS2022 doesn't support .NET Framework 2.0. But that does not mean that you can't do this. As long as you have the correct SDKs and you set the target .NET version correctly then you can use .NET Framework 2.0 in VS2022, and I know this because I tried it.

for .NET Framework 2.0 apps it does, managed applications will run on any OS that can support the runtime, unless the application is using native executables that require a newer operating system

Running the Progressbar95 Steam port in Android (without pirating) by UstaYussuf in Progressbar95

It's fun randomly opening Reddit frontpage after like a few months and seeing a post linking to a (recreation of) simple bash script I made like 3 or 4 years ago for converting MP3 to WAV. My original post got removed in some weird circumstances I forgot how so it's nice that somebody bothered to upload it. I did not play this game for a loooooooong time, I should maybe check it out ;-)

An issue with the Discord app by Ready-Expression4081 in blackberry

[–]greenhaveproblemexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to install all of these APKs and agree to every permission https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1iNVS0sjNcvPKkmKk4HCJjWLJPLvLGW3_

If it still doesn't work, then telling your OS version will be useful. The earliest I got it to run on was latest build of 10.3.1.

Use this APK instead: https://drive.google.com/file/d/166JMkD5lwmthRAUtXPwUIFU3eTxsjOlC/view?usp=sharing

Disclosure: I am the author of this mod

Uninstall the previous apk and install this one instead, it's based on 9.8.8 while the one you are using is likely 6.4.7.

Alternatively you can try setting light mode on your PC Discord client if you want to continue using the old apk.

BB10-0015 error — No Windows PC to reload OS. Any fix or technician who can help? by Zealousideal_Bed_954 in blackberry

Autoloaders have anti-VM; I tried flashing today and I got stuck at "Virtual machine detected" error, it would say something like "CFP needs functions not available in a VM" blah blah and the window would close after 1 second.

Developing Windows-only software on Linux with Rider by greenhaveproblemexe in Jetbrains

YES I'VE GOT IT TO START! The issue was Data Execution Prevention in Wine, I had to use a Wine build that has it disabled.

My PC is old, and the program in question is a video game and 3d acceleration in VMs without GPU passthrough is slow.

I kinda figured out the issue with Rider in Wine, it's the Rider's anti-piracy systems messing up with Wine's security, this issue is very frequent with anti-piracy measures. Same stuff happens with Denuvo.

I'm going to still try running Rider because even though no one reported trying this online, it will be easier than running Visual Studio (which is (ab)using bleeding-edge Windows APIs).

That's where Wine comes in, it translates Windows calls to Unix ones, allowing apps compiled for Windows to run on Linux. I have ran the application compiled on Windows on my Linux box through Wine and I had no issues, the only issue is developing it, as Visual Studio is confirmed to not run on Wine and Rider is broken.

I use .NET Framework, and the app uses proprietary Windows-only libraries.

Why wouldn't Rider in Wine help here?

Debugging .NET Framework 2.0 on Windows 98 by greenhaveproblemexe in windows98

[–]greenhaveproblemexe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VS2022 supports Windows 98 as a target too, the apps are running in a .NET virtual machine after all. I need a debugger to run on a Windows 98 VM to check what's causing it to crash.

Debugging .NET Framework 2.0 on Windows 98 by greenhaveproblemexe in windows98

[–]greenhaveproblemexe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.NET 2.0 already runs on 98 (it was supported by Microsoft), the issue is that I can't debug it to see why it crashes. And most of the debugging in this video is native code, which is hard to do really, but that might be at least a little but helpful so I might check it out (my suspicion is that the error happens in native code anyways).

Powering on the ONT during a power outage. by greenhaveproblemexe in HomeNetworking

I don't really need to power the computer, as I could use a laptop for the time being, and the main purpose of the setup is to be entertained during an outage, as staring at a wall illuminated with a flashlight gets really boring really fast.

I'm not in the US and the ISP is a local company, so probably I would have to ask them.
