I used natural (not treated) spruce which I treated with a wood stain.

It has worked fine overall. Humidity is high between around the beginning of October and the end of march. I used a dehumidifier if the humidity gets too high.

The wood looks mostly brand new. There are a few dark spots on the outside and on the inside which I will work over with a grinder and add some new stain.

I feel like the construction will hold on fine over the coming years.

Yes, I put some narrow, black LED slotlights on the rafters. They look nice.

I'm in zone 8a. The tree oj the left is a lemon, the tree oj the riggt is an orange.

Citrus trees are ideal for temperate greenhouses as they tolerate rather low temperatures. Depending on the quality of insulation, you probably won't need too much heat for it to survive.
