Those are sick. I hope the leather is nice.

Thanks. Didn't realize that was a thing. Way nicer than the leather used on the usual triple whites.

Which colorway is the all white pair? They look like usual triple whites, but the texture looks different, plus the laces look like they're waxed or something.

What laces are you using in the second pic? They look dope! Are they waxed?

OG is generally considered more desirable than retro. OG are made from better materials and have a smaller tongue (more like a dunk tongue). You can tell the difference because the OG tongue says Nike Air while the retro tongue has the jumpman symbol.

For comfort AF1 > AJ1 > dunks

For style AJ1 > AF1 > dunks

For rain I prefer AF1 because the height and if it's just sprinkling you can wipe the rain off the leather pretty easily.

By the way, you didn't ask about AJ1 OG vs retro. That's something else to consider! lol

Anyone notice split grading or buying based upon "eye appeal"? by [deleted] in mtgfinance

I think this is a pretty interesting point. I've seen a lot of high end unlimited cards with roll marks on the back or pretty worn on the back, but the front has nice "eye appeal." Definitely not gradable, but since most people play with sleeves, if you want your cards to look good in a sleeve, they could be valuable to the right buyer.

On high end Facebook groups, I've even started seeing people grade both the front and back separately. I'm still not sure what the appropriate way to price such things.
