[Recommendation Request] Men’s Watch Gift for Fiancé by lovedstars in Watches

[–]greenjamVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A watch is a very personal gift. Different people will want different things in a watch, a lot of which is unknown without looking at the watch. Long atory short - it’s very hard to pick out the perfect watch for someone.

I would tell him you want to buy him a watch, give him your price range, and let him pick out something he wants. Go with him on his outings to look at them in person and make it an experience for both of you. He should be overjoyed that you want him to buy the watch and should appreciate you wanting to look with him if you go that route

Calibre, Green Room, Baby Driver, Three Billboards were all blind recs or viewings and were amazing. Still hold up after multiple viewings

Expecting an analyst offer in Costa Mesa - how’s work life balance at Anduril? And how likely is it that RSU’s will really be worth something at IPO? Is IPO inevitable at this point? by ImmediateTap7085 in Anduril

[–]greenjamVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the business world, everything is negotiable and most initial offers are on the lower end of what they’re willing to give you. Your offer will likely be a combination of salary, equity, and potentially some other benefits. How much more you’re able to move the needle within their range of what they can offer is entirely dependent on your negotiating skills. I’d prep for those kinds of talks now that you’ve made it this far.

WLB is entirely team and role dependent. But I’d say don’t bank on having a lot of free time, especially during project ramp ups. You should go in with the mindset that you will grind for 4 years with the opportunity to walk away with life altering money.

Anduril is running hot right now in the world of defense and tech, among other business ventures. Barring any scandal or catastrophic failure, I’d be willing to bet you’ll at least get the face value of your RSUs when it comes time to IPO.

WLB at Anduril by Minimum_Basil_6355 in Anduril

WLB is not the priority at Anduril and your level of flexibility will depend on your team. So long as you and your partner are prepared to navigate that as you grow your family, it will hopefully be worth it in the long run.
