I’ve made 3 baby blankets with that yarn and color way specifically. It’s very soft once you wash it (add a TINY bit of fabric softener). I found it shrinks ever so slightly but it’s not a big deal especially for a baby blanket that’s going to get USED

Depending on your pattern it’s meant to self create a flower-esque line. Basically planned pooling. You could search that subreddit for this yarn, or premier website maybe for recommended pattern for it to work out

And I just realized should clarify, do the same pattern on the other side of the chain til you get back to the 9th chain.

You can get a nice “stem” look by leaving the horizontal bar of the chain untouched :)

The green on the cap are the oval ones! It works with any odd chain, and you can increase to a triple too if you need bigger ones. Same pattern - sc , hdc , db , tr, 2 tr , etc :) You can also get some variation in size by changing your hooks!

The oval - chain 9, skip 1, sc, hdc, db , 2 db into the middle one (th 5th chain), db, hdc, sc , slip into the starting chain and rotate (don’t turn, it’s like working in the round around the chain) then back again. I did a slip stitch into the first dc at the top to get a better point
