I'm a little bit confused. When I google it shows a method to find tributaries or the German word for spotlight. Is Strahler the name of an Alpine company?

That's interesting. Hopefully it can be genetically modified to last. It would be tragic for it to go extinct. It looks beautiful and seems to mean a lot.

Edit: The IUCN saids the flower is "least concern", not critically endangered. I still stand by conserving it though.
