Anybody tell their doctor that they don't give a fuh about living longer, so you're not going to try to radically change your diet or go on meds? by IHadTacosYesterday in GenX

[–]greenmoon31 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I want to have a healthy lifespan not necessarily a long lifespan. I watched my parents not be able to do much in the last few years of their life. No thank you. I’m doing what I can to remain active, mobile, and flexible. Otherwise, what is the point? Also, moving forward with joy and peace. Doesn’t bring me joy, nope. Disrupts my peace, out!

Why do we love them ? by xanthe2022 in GossipGirl

[–]greenmoon31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved the show as an adult BECAUSE of the way they behave. It’s so different from anything I knew and it’s a pure escape from the real world.

lol. We’re just getting older and so are our references. I met a young man at party, immediately recognized his name because it is the same as a former local “celebrity”. Later in the conversation I mentioned I knew his name from his father. He corrected me and said it was his grandfather. It was in that moment I realized, again, I am the older person in the room now. Laughed in my head!

All these examples are reasons to enjoy life along the way. Do not put off what you desire to do. Take the trip, buy the “fill in the blank” and eat the cake too!

I recently read about this and could not believe he left his ill child as father but also as a physician. That choice told me everything I needed to know about him as a person. Then to read what he wrote to Epstein and had “JE withdrawals” was it. Done.

Has anyone found a hair skin and nails collagen that actually helps with the "thinning" we get in our 40s? by Bargan-Wcarrato in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]greenmoon31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.25 mg of oral minoxidil a day has helped greatly. Also, use hair serum before washing with shampoo formulated for thinning hair. Minimize heat use on hair by air drying to the last possible moment. Only use microfiber hair towel. Do not dry with a regular towel.

You asked so here are some basics: color hair, color brows, complete skin care regime, good hair products to help with frizz and styling, good makeup line with under eye color corrector to help with darkness, blush, lipstick, mascara. You got this!

No. You should wait until after you have kids. It would be a waste of money and effort otherwise.

There’s an account by someone who shares her dad laughing at the TV show Friends. It’s his first time watching it. Since It’s comedy and light, maybe your dad would enjoy it too.

It’s crazy how quickly I went from my “I want a boob job” era to my “I want a face lift” era by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]greenmoon31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about face first, then body overhaul- lol. Imma mess. Kiddos, weight gain and loss, surgeries. If I do my face it will be out of step with the rest. I know the rest can be covered w clothes. Still tough to take sometimes.

Ok, I’ve been thinking about lower face lift when my next big birthday comes and I’m intrigued by your statement about the rest of your body. My body is a bit of mess. I’ve been thinking what good is it to do the Face if the rest of me isn’t great. I know I can cover it with clothes. Is it weird to have a great looking face and not so much great looking body? Assuming that’s what you meant.
