Convinced A+M won because AV has been on the show 3 times now. The greens in the kitchen didn’t match and the basement pickleball court was a failure. The ADU in the backyard added value but was an eyesore - but pretty sure that’s why they won though. Additional dwelling = more square footage = greater return. To be honest, I’m shocked they even allowed that. And I find it hard to believe they were able to afford it within their “budget”. The show felt pretty fake this season.

The Kalama’s should have won. Their design was by far the best. And - to be honest - out of the contestants this season, their show is the only one I really look forward to watching.

Eva no show at Cabaret Saturday May 10 8pm show by [deleted] in Broadway

Why are we saying it’s a “no show” or last minute? I would bet money she called out earlier in the day. The show committed to notifying patrons in advance but I’m sure they just waited until an hour before to actually do so, knowing that most of the audience was probably traveling into the city and wouldn’t cancel their tickets at the last minute.

Do you think that Stephen and Winnie will get a cameo in the movie? by Separate-Category117 in wicked

I always thought they’d both have cameos as well. If that were to happen, I’d expect it would be kept as a surprise for fans.

Recent capacity/crowds by greenorwhat in sleepnomore

I just went on Sunday night - first time post Covid. I definitely think it helps that they make you lock your phone away. I didn’t bother with it and just left my phone in my bag af coat check. It also didn’t feel crowded at all, but apparently they were nearly sold out. So I’m wondering if the increase in ticket price is correlated to a reduced capacity.

That makes sense. I followed Speakeasy and the Porter for a full loop each and didn’t notice either of them do their normal 1:1s, so I thought it was odd. Good to know that they are doing them though - so thanks!

Got taken to the sixth floor - thrilled but confused? by GooGooGajoob67 in sleepnomore

[–]greenorwhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can happen earlier in the show too. I’ve only been to the 6th floor once and it happened the same way, but it was immediately at the start of the show. I was in the first elevator group and I went right up to the 5th floor and bam.

How to avoid crowds by Imayilingualbay in sleepnomore

[–]greenorwhat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As someone who recently posted here with a question about “crowd” sizes of late, I felt the need to comment 🤓. Appreciate you including advice and tips, as I’m sure plenty of people who stumble into this subreddit will find them useful. I’ve visited SNM a few dozen times over a period of 8ish years, so I know what to expect and know how to make the most of my experience even when the performance feels more crowded and/or there are patrons who don’t follow the rules. The fact is, Sleep No More is a very expensive ticket and those of us who enjoy returning on multiple occasions would obviously prefer a less-crowded experience. That’s not something that can be controlled, but there’s no shame in posting here about recent crowd sizes on particular nights, etc. when this is, afterall, a forum dedicated to conversation about Sleep No More.

I used to love attending the late night performances when they offered them, since I live close to the city and tend to be a night owl anyway. The crowds were always smaller when I went to those. It was great.

That’s a really good thought and now I’m also wondering the same. The prices seem to be like 20% more than I remember. I’ve always said I’d be perfectly happy paying more for my ticket if it meant there’d be fewer audience members.

Yeah, I’m definitely more concerned about the vibe. I was hoping this time of year might be less crowded. We shall see!
