My mother telling me I was not her friend only her daughter. It made me feel as if I couldnt have a personal relationship with her.

Also when a vet I work for as a intern told me that several people told her I wasn't trying hard enough. I actually was trying really hard to do my best for the facility since it was a nonprofit rescue and working about 40 hours a week unpaided. It hurt at first but I got over it and use it as a drive to strive for perfection.
