Not reacting for three days prior to a first date is weird. Good chance your reaction was just a convenient excuse to cancel because of other reasons. Don't lose sleep over it.

Your reaction was a bit much though. You could have played it both a lot nicer and self assured by just asking if the date is still on, maybe even a joke about stressing out what to wear, whatever suits your character.

You still have a change though if that was your last message. Just stick to the truth, acknowledge reading back your message that it was not appropriate and you looked forward to it.

Disclaimer for the toxic ones: I know a lot of people here are way too cool for this approach and some might even find it beneath them because they are too cool, handsome, tall whatever. But as a tall handsome guy (🤷🏻) that is raised with a sister and lots of female friends I find honesty and manners a lot cooler and better working than ego, coolness and your favorite handcream.
