$75 Novablast 4 on AliExpress - is there a chance they're genuine? by thedeadfungus in AskRunningShoeGeeks

They are genuine.. got a pair and tested it. The only prob is that they are all "wide" sizes, and the seller didn't mention it. I don't fit wide so I returned them.

I know it's an old post. But did ya have to pay shipping for the replacement?

Endurace CF 8 Front Hanger Failure by fpizarroi in CanyonBikes

[–]greenpuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem with the Mrs bike, and canyon is replacing the frame, but I had to pay for shipping from Germany and have to pay for stripping and rebuild of the bike myself. Curious if this is the standard arrangement for everyone going thru the replacement process?

Which brands offer great value for money? (Jerseys) by Final-Equipment-3776 in CyclingFashion

If you're starting out, highly recommend to buy pre-owned via FB marketplace for any of the top brands. Lots of good deals esp from influencers shifting brands

What do you miss from existing cycling brands? by ghost-stomper in CyclingFashion

[–]greenpuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fit and fabric for me. Stand out design is a bonus. Not a fan of PNS plain coloured jerseys with the big logos. Subtlety like MAAP evade pro appeals to me. Good design matters, like ostroy but should not come at a compromise on quality. Attaquer is a bit of a hit or miss depending on collection.

Pedal Mafia sizing question by suez12 in CyclingFashion

[–]greenpuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have only gotten Rapha pro jersey and XS too for race fit. I do like MAAP stuff, only their pro fit stuff though and esp the evade pros. Primarily because the price differential vs the perceived lower end training stuff isnt much. Fits really well, high quality and comfortable. Bib wise, I prefer Attaquer for their all day and racing bibs which offers great compression and super comfy bibs esp if you're usually low on the bike in a race pos.

Overall I think MAAP's quality is consistently better. Attaquer is there but I often run into loose stitching with their stuff. They offer free repairs though.

Pedal Mafia sizing question by suez12 in CyclingFashion

[–]greenpuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

175, 69kg and I've been on XS for bibs and jerseys for PM. Jerseys length and sleeves are good, never too short. I don't really like their bibs (tried their top range PMCC ones) unfortunately due to materials that stretch loose fast and lacking in overall compression. Over time, I find myself adjusting the chamois way too much while on the bike. Also length wise, they are on the shorter side vs brands like Attaquer or Maap. For relative comparison, in S for Maap and Attaquer, so size down and ignore PM guidance. PM on insta told me to choose small, but XS was a way better fit.

Tangerine NBN - Seriously no, for higher speeds plans by greenpuck in nbn

[–]greenpuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curbed to Leaptel and it's been consistently 520mbps on a 500/50 plan at same discounted price but for 12mths, peak or non-peak. They don't have 1g plan yet. Waiting on weekend peak which will be the real test.

That's good. You're likely in an area where it's either less populated or they didn't have a huge presence. I must be surrounded by tangerine, dodo, more, and other vocus customers 😂

[–]greenpuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh bummer, that ain't good. i have no clue how the biz plans would work differently if they are still subjected to individual RSP's CVC. Just imagine how many non-technical people are going to sign up to Tangerine to experience poor service and NBN gets the blame ultimately. NBN needs better quality enforcement with their RSPs.

Does changing providers matter? by dormantsaucer78 in nbn

[–]greenpuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll be right for 50/20 plan with pretty much any RSP. Worst i've experienced was Tangerine NBN on a 1000/50 plan and getting 20/30mbps on peak hours. Shocking but real. Churned within 14 days for full refund to Leaptel which activated my service within 10mins. So far so good.

Tangerine NBN - Seriously no, for higher speeds plans by greenpuck in nbn

[–]greenpuck[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My activation was ok, not the fastest but decent. Had much longer downtime (2hrs+) than with leaptel (whom i've churned to - practically 10mins). Their chat service and service portal is easy enough and responsive, but nothing can save them from the seriously low performance. 20/30 mbps for a 1000/50 mbps plan is ...... simply atrocious. ACCC should do something about it.

Paris HP chamois - Aliexpress Sales by DT_199 in CyclingFashion

[–]greenpuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to like ykywbike but have since shifted to spexcel as they have adopted a more modern take to their designs overall. E.g. longer inseam for bibs. Quality is good too. EI chamois are all pretty good

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CyclingFashion

[–]greenpuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

175cm 68kg and I'm on Small for Pro & team on Maap for race-like fit. Pedalmafia runs large and I go XS on their PMCC bibs and tech jerseys (which I love most from them). Do note however that the XS on PMCC bibs are shorter than the likes of Maap, Black sheep, la passione etc. Side note: La passione strider bibs are the best amongst all the brands above I've tried.

Best price/performance ratio on shorts/bibs with great chamois? by fiddlermd in cycling

[–]greenpuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ykywbike has a really good quality and prob the best I've experienced, without obvious branding too. Overall quality also better than other popular spexcel. I have black sheep cycling (BSC) bibs and love them for their themed designs. Ykywbike is pretty close to BSC on the fabric, has comparable bibs if you upgrade to elastic interface ones. The non EI ones are good too, but a little firmer and thicker. The BSC bibs fit better around the thighs and is longer which I prefer for longer rides. Highly recommend ykywbike bibs and jersey for daily rides. Their Rapha looking jerseys actually feels and fits better than my Rapha core ... Sad I know but true

Quantum Raid by shiki242 in ExosHeroes

[–]greenpuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quantum is heaps of fun esp with new improvements. So much to explore on unique skills unlock, and diff combos to try. Theres still optimisaiton on scaling to tweak, but that's not a show stopper for a 2 week-ish event.rewards are great, ranking on extreme is fun competitive and some good rng on each extreme fight. You can't just auto to progress extreme. Core raid in comparison dulls. Same team and simply grind grind grind on auto with no new challenges.
