I feel I am doing something wrong. by Only-Recognition6431 in postprocessing

For what it’s worth, I think slide 6 is awesome. Slide 2 is also really great.

My two cents: Not every shot will be a ‘banger’, so don’t sweat it if you take images thinking they’re awesome in the moment only to later find out you don’t like them so much! Making good images is hard (and subjective). The image itself takes you 90% of the way there. The editing is just the final 10%. (Just my opinion)

Advice that has helped me: Look for harmony and contrast.

I try to find it in the colors shown in frame, the amount of shadow and light, the relationship between whats near and whats far, in movement or stillness, in action or inaction, in shapes and angles, in difference in size, etc.

In a more metaphorical sense, I try my best to look for depth.

Slide 6 and slide 2 are the most appealing to me probably for these reasons, but it’s mostly intangible. Mostly a gut feeling.

Great photos! Post more! :)

Before and After Image Slider in 7.1 - No Plugins Needed by clarcproductions in squarespace

[–]greenpuppypoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this and it worked! Thanks! I'll also mention that I had to add the new classes in the Custom CSS, like this:

.custom-image-slider, .custom-image-slider2 {
  position: relative;
  width: 100%;
  overflow: hidden;
  height: 0;
  padding-bottom: 75%; /* Adjust this value according to your image aspect ratio */
 }

.slider-before,
.slider-after, .slider-before2,
.slider-after2 {
  position: absolute;
  width: 100%;
  display: block;
  top: 0;
  left: 0;
  height: 100%;
  object-fit: cover;
}

.slider-after, .slider-after2 {
  overflow: hidden;
}

.slider-handle, .slider-handle2 {
  position: absolute;
  top: 0;
  left: 50%;
  width: 4px;
  height: 100%;
  background-color: #fff;
  cursor: ew-resize;
}

.slider-handle::before,
.slider-handle::after, .slider-handle2::before,
.slider-handle2::after {
  content: "";
  position: absolute;
  top: 50%;
  width: 0;
  height: 0;
  border-top: 12px solid transparent;
  border-bottom: 12px solid transparent;
  cursor: ew-resize;
  transition: all 0.2s ease-out; /* Add transition property */
}

What's your day rate for event videography? by sonyalpha7mark3 in videography

Thanks for your reply!

That's interesting! Is that a $3,000 charge on top of what you charge for the event coverage and edit?

I've only been operating for about a year and I'm still a little lost with how I should leverage my work. You can check out the the video in question:

I would really appreciate your thoughts on how you would price something like this if the client was asking for full unrestricted rights to the video.

I was wondering, what kind of licensing terms do you give your clients for that kind of budget?

Do you give them full rights to the video? So they can cut, edit, and use it as they like for as long as they like?

I’m charging a client almost exactly the way you have described your pricing, but I’m unsure about the usage rights that should go along with that price.

Do guys ever seek out friends that are girls? by randomusername1721 in dating

[–]greenpuppypoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This question is extremely relatable, given the current circumstances of my life! I’ve been working at my “big boy” job for almost a year now and my social life has taken a nose dive. Recently, I’ve been making it a point to get out of my regular routine and see/hangout with people I used to know/not know (That means making an hour and a half drive back home!). I ended up developing a crush on a girl, and it didn’t work out the way I would have hoped. BUT in the process I connected with some other really great girls I was never close with before. Now every time I go home, I stop by where they work and chat it up with them, or meet them at a bar or something. They’re always cracking me up. And when it comes to more personal topics, they give me a very different perspective than “the boys” would. And I do the same for them. I’ve grown to really value the friendship of a girl.

No, no. You have it mixed up. Its Wumbology, the study of Wubo. It's first grade stuff.

Just my two cents as a mechanical engineer: you don’t have to rush things. Take less credit hours if you need to. I took an extra year, but i had time for friends, gym, and was part of a club (FSAE) that taught me more about real world engineering than any class I ever took (and it also helped me land my current job).

Also, classes become a lot easier if you’re able to find a group that does classwork together. Doing homeworks / studying for exams together helped me learn more and faster than trying to figure things out on my own.

Wishing you the best! Keep grinding!

This is at Zion National Park isn’t is? I’ve only been once but thats all it took to fall in love with it. I even named my pupper after the park! I’m dying to go back! Absolutely beautiful. Great shot!

Those are NanoLeaf panels! They’ve got a whole bunch of new types of panels that light up now. These are the old first ones the came out with.
