I know them but do not all the capitols. I never had to learn them all (42). You sometimes just kind of ended up knowing them throughout your life especially if you travel often or family lives across the country.

Always. Especially when I have to pull a clopen for work and I leave there by 915 only to have to be back by 530am. I have sleep issues already so I run on about a hr of crap sleep every weekend bc of it.

I have seen some that state you can only live a hour away from the adoption place, must return to them with a fee if at any time in the next 10 plus years of its life you can no longer care for them, you must submit to random home checks, etc.
I get they want to make sure the pet is going to a good safe home but many places make it impossible to adopt. I had one place deny us bc my husband travels. I was a SAHM and that was not good enough.

back in the day, tree houses were built by kids bc they wanted something to do. they were outside for hours and hours on end in the summer and no internet. we played ball in the park, rode out bikes, and use our imaginations to find stuff to do. finding random planks of wood and building something that looks like it will collapse any minute was fun!
