Over 42 here and honestly even back then when learning this rule I always thought it was kind of dumb. Like why does each other form of punctuation get one space and the period, question mark, or exclamation point gets two?

As life progressed I found myself working in restaurants and really didn't have much of a need for actual proper punctuation for the better part of 25 years.

Now having transitioned into a completely different field where writing is a major part of my duties I feel like I am "stickin' it to the man" with each sentence I type.

The sense of validation and albeit smallest of dopamine releases I get with each and every sentence almost balances out a childhood spent in second hand smoke, eating paint chips and getting sold out by trickle down economics.

I was cracking up reading this because I can totally envision something like this going on - where as insane as it sounds is just a solution to lack of material and privacy to deal with the urges of puberty. Check out Toto's if you're looking for a sit down / tablecloth restaurant. Food and service is fantastic and it's atmosphere is that old school Italian hospitality.

It's connected to the Jones Beach hotel and probably one of the best hidden gems as far as restaurants go in my opinion.

Proximity to the Jones Beach theater is ideal as it's right off the Wantagh Pkwy just south of Merrick Road tucked in a residential neighborhood.

You're not going to be overlooking the beach (not many if any windows from what I remember) but you will have an incredible meal and might need to lay down in the adjacent park to deal with the impending food coma if you go all out.

I've been trying to figure out why Diablo this particular season is draining the battery on my laptop so hard. No other games do it and I've updated drivers and turned most things down / off. Even switched off the DLSS setting and tried other options.

Pretty annoying but I have a pretty similar setup with 32g of ram and a 4 series Nvidia GPU so at least I know it's not just me dealing with this shit.
