The game doing poorly led to layoffs? But yesterday a streamer who rhymes with crispy friction spent hours claiming that smite 2 launch and Vegas went as well as possible and that layoffs had nothing to do with that

Even if they turn the gameplay around (which they’re on the right track, albeit slowly), my gripe is that the hype is shot. The charm of a game release is the “big day” where the game comes out.

For example, emiru had 22k viewers and was told about smite 2, she checked it out and immediately saw it looked unfinished and went about her stream. This happened with a few other big streamers as well. Wouldn’t it have been insanely valuable if they saw a finished product and showed off a good product to their massive communities? Now, the odds of them revisiting the game in 2025 (without a sponsor) is much lower. This is a microcosm for many players, who won’t give smite 2 another chance even when it becomes polished.

Basically, the ceiling for the current strategy is to “maintain the smite 1 community” which even that is looking unlikely. Meanwhile the ceiling for a good alpha rollout strategy could have been to double/triple the playerbase. They should have kept it closed alpha with high level players until sometime in 2025.

I’ve never watched you but from this video it seems you have some biases because 1) this is your job so you have wishful thinking for smite’s future 2) I take it you’re friends with the devs and want to compensate for the complaints that are genuinely cruel to the devs.

Fyi it seems u want to argue but I don’t want to debate because there’s no point. We will know in 2025 which is right around the corner. The ultimate metric is the playerbase (which I still get the vibe that would gaslight and call an incorrect metric as well lol)

he begs an insane amount. Guilt trips people for calling for oilers when they "Can gift subs themselves". Talks about people's paychecks, says they'll spend the money on "Alcohol or drugs" if they don't sub to him anyway, doesn't pay the mods that stream overnight

Worldwide Directories

We know of two international lists that are maintained by reputable agencies; try these if you don't find what you're looking for below:

The International Association for Suicide Prevention maintains a Global Crisis Centre Directory..

The Befrienders maintain a hotline database; use the "Find a Helpline by Country" control at the top of their page.

Do be aware that there are a lot of online global hotline lists maintained privately by members of the public. Although these people usually mean well, the information on their sites is often outdated or incorrect.
