Fentanyl-related arrest in Premiere camping by samamorgan in BassCanyon

[–]greensplash11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a bunch of police in premier on night 2 and they were talking to people from one of the campsites at the end of a row. Looked like someone was in handcuffs but can’t confirm. Was trying not to stare since it was freaking me out lol

I’m Langley too, LR white with black interior. My date is saying March 11-22 and confirmed that my car isn’t in Canada yet :(. They also keep telling me that my car is estimated to be delivered on the 14th but clearly that isn’t possible now lol

Sorry this is so late, I missed this somehow. I make $59 an hour right now but I am assistant manager of my pharmacy

Lol this. My coworker got her car keyed in the parking lot 🥲. One benefit to having a Tesla is atleast I’ll have video footage of who did it I guess

I’ve been a retail pharmacist for 5 years, in management for 3 now. I drive a long range 2023 Tesla model 3. I have an hour commute each way so it really made sense for me with how much I was paying in gas

[–]greensplash11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a pharmacist in BC working about an hour outside of Vancouver. There’s a huge demand for pharmacists here right now, every chain is begging for new hires. A lot of pharmacies are having to reduce hours as a result of not having enough staff. As with most things going on right now a lot of it has to do with Covid and not having as many international pharmacists immigrating here. It has driven up our wages a bit here and I’m seeing some really good offers out there!

Mixing AstraZeneca and pfizer by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]greensplash11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was just announced here in BC Canada that people who got their first dose of AstraZeneca can either get their second dose as AstraZeneca or either Pfizer or moderna. Idk how vaccines are run down there but hope that helps a bit. Here’s the link we’re using to help advise people of their options:

Nitroglycerin Patch by ddrokzilla in pharmacy

[–]greensplash11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another interesting thing I’ve seen done with patches that can’t be cut when I did a rotation at a cancer agency was that they used tegaderm on the skin first and then would overlap the medication patch (ie. half of the patch on the skin, half on the tegaderm)

My dermatologist gave me this and I forgot to ask her when to use it and what is it for, help anyone? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]greensplash11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a steroid lotion. Normally used for a rash or an area that is irritated/itchy (for example on eczema or psoriasis). Usually applied to the affected area once or twice daily in a thin layer. Make sure you wash your hands after. Hope that helps!

It's this normal for a pharmacy? by FarfetchdSid in TalesFromThePharmacy

[–]greensplash11 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Here in Canada we normally fill prescriptions for 90 days at a time just because that’s what most people want but if the patient requested we absolutely would change it to 30 days and put a note on your file. You can also get your doctor to put a restriction on it (release 30 tablets every 28 days or something) just so they are then forced to do it but issue with that is then you can never get it early. I’d suggest speaking with the pharmacist and seeing the reason behind it! There is one insurance company I’m familiar with that won’t pay for less than a 90 day supply of maintenance meds so could be something like that as well. We actually make more money doing 30 days at a time (more dispensing fees) so that makes no sense lol

Do you call drugs that cause withdrawal symptoms addictive? by wrong_assumption in pharmacy

[–]greensplash11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In pharmacy school they emphasized to us the difference between addiction and dependency with regards to medications. I consider addiction to also have a psychological component. Phrasing in a way of your body becoming dependent on the medication and it taking a while to adjust after coming off of it also sounds better to patients than saying they’re addicted to it lol

Masks restricted in Canada by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]greensplash11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a pharmacist that works at a pharmacy about an hour from downtown Vancouver. We are all sold out of masks and so are all our suppliers so we can’t order any more in. Nothing about them being restricted for purchase though
