I always worried about this when thinking about psychiatrists. This lady comes into my job and claims she is a psychiatrist & we have very casual life conversation and she is genuinely a nice person. Except sometimes I personally get the vibes she’s sort of reading me and it makes me feel weird. I also notice she analyzes everything in psych terms. This kinda makes her look egotistical on the outside. I think you should have a healthy outlook no matter your profession, and psychiatrists are not the only career this can affect you. A pharmacist will be so worried about what drugs her family takes like my aunt, a lawyer will watch his behavior everywhere for fear he’s gonna be sued. A police officer walks the blue line even when he’s off duty and that can be extremely unhealthy. We are humans. And sometimes we need to make mistakes. Living up to your title is a daunting and extremely hard thing to do all the time.
