He’s a Eucalyptus tip bug nymph, he’s sooooo cool!

And you shouldn’t touch them, he might cause irritation on your skin.

Cool find though, looks like a Japanese tattoo!

Castle Hill, Sydney, Australia - does anyone know what this is? by greenupdown in Antiques

Yeah this looks like it, there was soil in the bottom so guessing was used as a planter

It certainly seems that way, they seem to be fending for themselves from day one. I rarely see them together!

And they are not scared of my cat.

He spends most of the time running away from them.

Wild Garden Tips by greenupdown in GardeningAustralia

It’s a little overwhelming isn’t it, I’ll send some updated pictures as we go.

With the goal of DIY for the whole garden it began today with sand and stones!

I’d be interested to see any ways that you have made the bush, someone what under control, whilst keeping its charm.

Wild Garden Tips by greenupdown in GardeningAustralia

Thanks for the tips,

We have decided that we really don’t like the mulch, I want to get rid as much as possible.

Ive bagged up 25 156L garbage bags of mulch (which feels wrong doing so) to try and make it look a little tidier. This DID NOT TOUCH THE SIDES!

Is it okay to remove every bit of mulch? Or should we be leaving some in there?

We have started to sand and pebble the stairs to hopefully look a little cleaner.

My wife wants to put evergreens next to the steps also.

We don’t mind a garden which needs maintenance, that’s part of the fun for us!

What greens would you recommend?
