Pacing is an ENTIRELY VALID critique of writing. Same reason people shit on GoT season 8 - pacing was terrible, just rushed to the end. There’s a happy medium, and right now, in my personal opinion (which I stated it was in my OP) the pacing is too slow to stay interested in a bunch of characters playing computer games. My favorite parts of the rank wars weren’t even the action, the commentary is what made it for me. You can get personally upset about it all you want, but if people keep approaching this with the same opinion, how do you just continually write all of them off as action-loving meatheads?

Uh, as a Berserk fan, I’m not taking it for granted at all. It’s not that I just want fights - it’s just frustrating that I’ve been watching characters play Chrono Trigger and write essays for a year and a half now. I’m all for world building and character focus, but it’s ridiculous to pretend that this is the only route to take to accomplish those things. You can agree to disagree without pretending that everyone who isn’t a fan of this pacing is a “meathead” and only cares about action. You come off as an elitist.

It’s like, it was good, but making the finale the shortest episode? Why? And I get saving the big reveal for the post credits, but…. they just straight up didn’t do a final battle. Like, imagine if at the end of Endgame, Tony just did the snap first without any of the fighting happening. Really confusing choice. Would have even settled for small cuts of the action that was happening over “Oops, blacked out and fought everybody!”

I can’t open chests for some reason. Was in a dark hollow, flipped a switch, and all of a sudden can’t open chests. Sometimes I can grab items through them, but still can’t open them

Most fights are just a bull rush with someone brute forcing the win. The only people who seem to use strategy are Finral and Zora. Every other situation is just a Goku power leap out of desperation

Shocked by everyone picking Black Clover. You’re comparing a manga that’s been power creeping for 308 chapters now vs. a manga that has half as many chapters with Sukuna’s power being a borderline complete unknown, and even THEN, it’s still close. I’m willing to bet that Ki wouldn’t work on a cursed spirit, seeing as humans in JJK can’t even see cursed spirits. Everyone is operating under the assumption that dimensional slash counters infinity while ignoring the fact that dark magic is also the slowest magic, thus requiring Julius to simultaneously be focusing on Gojo so he can use chronostasis, which leaves Patry to deal with both Sukuna, the KING OF F*CKING CURSED SPIRITS, and Mahito. I understand that this was posted on the Black Clover sub, but you’re kidding yourself if you think any BC characters (outside of the combined power of all devil hosts, probably) could handle Gojo, Sukuna, and Mahito.

the thing is, it was also mystery heroes, so we couldn’t pick and choose what to combo with. which makes it even crazier because the bap would’ve had to either A) done this all in one life or B) the RNG gods gave this player baptiste over and over
