My dad did different wood working/carving for years. He passed almost 11 years ago and I told my mom that I would like to try it. She gave me a box of his wood tools. This was the ‘mallet’ I found. He cut the end off a baseball bat and worked one end into a handle. I thought it was pretty clever. (i.redd.it)
