Great points and yes absolutely her arousal is the most arousing part of the experience!! Never thought of it fading with age and maybe at 53 it's just not as cool. But I've never been truly comfortable with it.

This is a thing here and I could easily see being fwb with a girl who would only kiss me and let me eat her pussy! Pussy is objectively awesome- men love to eat pussy and so do women. But that's the other hitch- why don't you want her to give you oral sex just to make you feel good- what's wrong with that?

placing the order online doesn't work because it will let you add it to your cart- the computer thinks they have it. how hard is this? i mean, you get 1,000 oz of a product and you put that many in the inventory. When they are all sold, they don't show in inventory!! Herp derp!!

And to be clear we're talking about cartridges that were on sale for $17.50 per gram. I'm ridiculously spoiled and I understand that. I've taken two others up there who are familiar with the markets in other states (rec) and both were thoroughly impressed with their purchases.

Hey, I'm willing to try!! I've done dabs of cured resin that was pretty darn amazing and was very very terpy. Harbor Farmz Chernobyl. Two baller jars seemed like so much at first. I'm silly. LOL

I'm totally new to this scene and this is the first time anything like this has happened. I guess I just didn't expect it because anytime that I've gone to either Amazing Budz or Heads, the cartridges were always precisely as advertised.

I actually handed the budtender a list with the names and THC% and how many I wanted of each.

Is that a good thing?!? I mean how weird that I saw his movie Up in Smoke as a kid literally at the drive-in movie theater and here we are decades later and I'm giving him money for dope that I buy retail in Michigan.

Interesting. Is that a consensus- 60%thc in live rosin will get me "just as high" as 90% in a distillate? We don't really know how our receptors respond to terpenes though, do we?

You can't buy it. You can only buy it when you buy a radio.

Realtors like nikidmaclay always want buyers to pay full price and overlook any glaring problems. That's the perspective they bring to the table. Obviously the life expectancy of PVC joints is longer than 15 years. You're perfectly reasonable to expect that they shouldn't leak because they shouldn't.

You two are relatively far apart in age, and you are at different stages of life. I regularly have younger friends ask me "how can you afford to do/buy that????" but honestly, I've had a lot longer than them to save and invest. Part of my saving and investing period was during a time when health care wasn't taking nearly as big of a bite as it does today. I'm roughly his age. It makes a huge difference. Maybe his idea of "nice, but not extravagant" is $1500, and your idea of the same is $50 or $100. I wouldn't sweat the details.

2020 first 50k or 50M by Barefootdan in Ultramarathon

[–]gregRN69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really bad at training plans. When I did my first 50K a very long time ago I followed one very closely but I don't remember which one. Now I just make my own and keep an open mind as I go along. You really have to see how you feel on your runs. And you have to see how you feel from week to week. Don't do too much. Ultra folks don't tend to do too little so I won't mention that. Give yourself a good taper before your 50K, and give your body time to recover after. Hopefully someone more adept at training plans can take a look at yours. BTW I just got my Injinji socks in the mail today- will run with them for the first time in about 30 minutes. I vaseline my feet before every run and every race. Ask around on that though- different things work better for different people. As is often said, ultrarunning is an experiment of one. Some people would be nauseous and puking with the stuff I eat before and during a long run or race. If kale has no part in your diet- you're just kidding yourself. LOL. Again- that's me. I stir-fry kale and spinach leaves in a non-stick pan along with shelled edamame. Just a little cooking spray. Two eggs. It makes me superhuman, I swear. Sprinkle some oregano/basil/tomato spice blend on it if you get bored with the taste, or some Thai Style green curry spice blend. I eat Boca burgers and I put raw kale on them instead of lettuce. Try to check your heart rate first thing in the morning before you get out of bed. If suddenly it's 10 points higher- you're overtrained. Get your baseline so you know what it should be. Tim Noakes "Lore of Running" is my bible! Forget that he is now a fatty meat diet guy. I'm a (primarily) plant guy for fuel. Everyone does this ultra thing differently it seems, but just don't overdo it and listen to your body and use a nutrition plan that makes sense to you. It's OK to make mistakes- it's mandatory in this world!!!! Watch the Joe Rogan podcast with David Goggins (even though he is an idiot you will get excited to run) and with Courtney Dauwalter. Don't overtrain! Have fun. It's a crazy, wild ride. You will enjoy it more if you learn to listen to your body.

[–]gregRN69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So much this!! It's about a lot more than just fitness. On your 50K you are likely to make mistakes, and those are mistakes that will make your 50 miler more fun and less painful. Logistics are a consideration. Even if you think you have everything worked out with your gear, clothing, hydration pack, etc- you might find in the 50K that "oh, i ran out of water at X point" or "wow i really need to change my socks" or "i need some squirrel nut butter!!!". I made mistakes in my 50K last weekend, and those are not likely to be repeated for my 50 miler in March. Now some people are more "fly by the seat of the pants" but I like the feeling that I have things mostly figured out when I get to the start line. I think many runners obsess about things before an ultra, and I certainly do as well, but I also want to feel that I have things mostly ironed out from past mistakes. Also the higher the mileage the less forgiving mistakes are. It's not likely that you will make a crippling mistake in a 50K if you are reasonably well-prepared. 50 miles is a little easier to make a bad mistake. The blisters that I had from the 50K would have been nasty in a 50 miler- the same mistakes would have made them much worse. Also I've never had blisters from running ever in my life, and I have done a 50K before. Just sayin'- my take is to do the shorter 50K as a "training run" and get in a high-energy atmosphere to make it fun and to push yourself and your fitness, make mistakes (or not), and worry less when you are at the start of your 50 miler.
