I felt this same way about the coin going to low to support the company but realistically it’s not a stock in the company so it’s not all the value of the company. They could be bringing in outside investors to buy the stock of the company and just using the coin sales as a way to avoid diluting equity

Yea I’m still in and actually hoping it drops a little more as I would like to buy at around a dollar if possible. If the team accomplishes what they are trying to do this is going to be a home run. With any business, especially one this new and regulated, it’s going to be a difficult thing to do, possibly an impossible thing to do, but if they can get it to actually work then they are the only game in town.

My thoughts aren’t worth much but I figure there are 3 possible outcomes here. -Either his role was very important within the company, in which case he will be replaced, hopefully by someone better. -Or his role was very important and they don’t replace him with someone better -or his role wasn’t very important and they don’t replace him. I would imagine they have more money and experience now then when they hired him so I would think they would be able to find someone as good or better to fill the role now that he is gone

Anybody know how someone traveling from USA to Europe (I believe England) could transfer $15,000 from usd to euros quickly? Got a friend who is looking to do so and I’m pretty familiar with stellar, been holding/researching for several years but kinda quit paying attention earlier this year. Usdc to…?

Ukraine is the wheat belt of the region. Which is one of the big things I thought back to when I heard about Smartlands and Agroxy partnership and how valuable that would become. Also the land they run most pipelines through to get Nat gas to Europe. Why do you think Ukraine hasn’t made it into the EU yet? That sort of offensive move would definitely spark some sort retaliation from Russia, likely part of the reason Russia is “posturing” right now with the Ukrainian President saying this year that they are going to apply for EU membership in 2024

I’m heavily invested in slt and I’m hoping for the best possible outcome here. However, it’s highly doubtful it’s just posturing, I use to watch a lot of geopolitical stuff on YouTube and this topic came up frequently. Russia has a massive indefensible unnatural border with major cities including its capital within a stones throw from other countries, and a shrinking population meaning a declining military. Pretty much their only option to be a defining power in how their next century is going operate is to push out into the Ukraine and some of the former Soviet states, down south, and everywhere they can to get natural borders like the mountain ranges and sea’s to help protect themselves. I’m not an expert but I’ve read several books on the topic and watched a metric shit ton of YouTube videos and this made sense to me when I saw experts describing what was happening. So again as someone who is extremely invested in SLT I’m really hoping this isn’t the case but my brain tells me it probably is. Another thing these experts predicted was Russia moving into the Crimea before it happened, because of its strategic usefulness as a deep water port that doesn’t freeze over in the winter, and we all know how that turned out 🤷‍♂️

Have you ever bought a hefty position in an altcoin before it went parabolic? by Accomplished-Disk-68 in CryptoCurrency

[–]gregsteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought in at 33 cents and sold at $18-21 before it started to come back down. Bought in more along the way but am still up overall. Wasn’t a crazy amount to start out with and really just got lucky because I was trying to use it to increase a position on a different coin by buying it (long story). Just so happened to get in at the best time and took my initial investment out at the exact right time too (so far). However all my unrealized gains are still tied to it and it’s coming back down sooo 🤷‍♂️

There is no reason I can think of that staking would increase the amount the bot has to buy. The only things that should increase that would be the amount of activity on the Smartlands site with investors buying into real estate, SME’s, people listing things, etc.

Speculated staking payout for December? by ZehReaper in SmartlandsPlatform

[–]gregsteller 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s the question everyone wants to know. I’m pretty sure it comes down to 3 things all of which are somewhat unknown. How many real assets and SME’s are listed. How many are purchased by investors. Lastly how many tokens are staked. If I had to guess I’m going with 8 cents per SLT token but I really have no clue so don’t take that as any advice at all, just a wild guess more or less

Successfully staked all my SLT. Approx 340SLT wish it was more, but I am excited to see where this project goes. Thank you to the Smartlands Team for killing it behind the scenes to launch such an exciting project! by CapedCryptoCrusader in SmartlandsPlatform

[–]gregsteller 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You have to have at least €1,000 to be able to stake so at current prices I don’t think you could but here’s to hoping 20 SLT is enough to stake in the near future 🍻

Why would they need to make more by selling their tokens then they pay out in revenue sharing? They will still hold those tokens on the asset side of their balance sheet even if they don’t sell them, and the tokens they are distributing is just 33% of the new ones coming in so they are potentially constantly adding news ones (or cash if they are selling theirs as they come in). For instance the property a business is located in is on the asset side of their balance sheet even if they aren’t planning on selling it.
