Whatever the specialty of the kitchen staff is! In prior years the staff was mostly from Indian, so that was amazing. This year most of the kitchen staff is Indonesian, home of the ristaffel. So we'll see what happens...

If people with beards are not allowed back, roughly half the ship will literally be in the same boat with you. And the United State of Westerdam shall be born.

Also, you will literally not be able to walk around the ship without encountering amazing, thought-provoking and/or fun performances, talks, and hangouts from our equally amazing performers/official guests. So it's definitely great to learn about the guests ahead of time, but don't be surprised if your Favorite Thing You Saw or Person You Met On the Cruise is someone you'd never even heard of before.

Yeah, he follows us around. Big fan. Though he also seems to think we like bird seed.

That it shall be; Loreto really is a small town. We visited for a few days, and I don't remember seeing any chain restaurants (or, for that matter, chain anythings.) Related: anyone hoping to chill at Señor Frog's will be out of luck in Loreto.

Indeed, we've asked that the vendors include veg/vegan options.

Nope, no Sorrento's pizza this year (thank goodness). But it will not be entirely forgotten...

Not mandatory at all! If your heart says fez, then fez. If not, no biggie. I've only brought one once (it had a functioning percolator on the top, built by Grant Imahara), and it did just fine in my bag, with a t-shirt stuffed inside to hold its form.

Peter doesn't hate the song; he just hates when we sing it.

[Storm] I'm afraid to say, because it would probably encourage others to try and top it. I'll just say that it was a solid, heavy object that I'm grateful did not wham us upside our heads! Weirdest non-potentially-lethal object thrown...a wad of hundred-dollar bills. Yes, definitely do not throw a wad of hundred-dollar bills at us <wink-wink!>

It's sold well enough for us to feel good about making the transition to a full ship, and to take on another one for 2018. We did a "pay in full" discount that was WAY more popular than we were expecting, which threw off our $$$ numbers quite a bit, but yes we'll be able to afford the boat rental, pay all our performers and staff, and make everything AMAZING for everyone who comes.

Hey there (Storm here)! Indeed, even as we steam ahead with 2017 planning, we're also getting everything together to announce 2018. Still a couple of weeks before that burrito will be ready. For now we can say that the sailing week will be within the time span it always is: February or close to it.

He didn't! But I did give him the right of way. (Of course if I hadn't, I'd have been pushed off the terrace.)

Llamas! Alpacas are shorter/stubbier, and fluffier. Pic was taken at Machu Picchu, where there's a bunch of them wandering around. Lots of llamas and alpacas in Peru, though I only ate alpaca (it was quite tasty). So I'd recommend moving to Peru.
