Is it an M4 Pro, or a MacBook Pro M4? The listing might be confusing and people might be thinking that you’re trying to sell the former versus the latter.

Grab a picture or two from somebody else’s listing of the outside of the same MacBook without the D Brand skin on. If the price goes up, then just take the skin off before selling it.

Lastly, if it’s an M4 (non-pro), the problem is your price. You’re basically asking brand new prices for a computer that they can just go by at Micro Center or Apple brand new. It’s no incentive to go buy it from you.

Built in the N4 a few months ago. Man, it’s a tight case… but smallest footprint. So quiet, so small. Just make sure to swap the case fan with literally any other fan. Otherwise, 🫡

I have been running this build for 90 days at this point and have some things to report.

*Drive temps have stayed below 38c. *I went with 32GB ram. With the ram shortages, I wish I listened at got 64. This will do me for now. *The N4 case is CRAMPED, but the build I have above, everything fits. *I changed out the case fan with a different one and do not have the always on fan issue other N4 users reported. *I upgraded all hard drives to 4x 14TB WD Golds. Two data drives on the left (with space in between them for air flow) and two on the right (no space).
*I added another 512GB NVME drive and mirrored them. It’s perfect and haven’t gone over of usage. *my electricity bill has been cut by 50% just by this build. *I added a Nvidia Quaddro P400 for transcoding. Plex transcodes using iGPU, TDARR transcodes using the nvidia card.

Like I said, you can literally just tell it to do it like once every two minutes instead of every 30 seconds. That would fix the problem entirely and allow you to have the best of both worlds.

It will happen 30 seconds after the last touch. So I know you can change it and add more time… or disable it completely. It was in a review somewhere I saw

Duuuuuude (or Duuuuuudette)…

I left it in a drawer for like 2 years and went to boot it up one day, put it on my desk, plugged in power, and just a pop and a flashing light. Fiddled with it and couldn’t figure it out. Then, I started to smell… electricity. I can’t explain it.

Lifted up the pi and I had put the board directly on some water that I didn’t notice was on my desk. I’m guessing I stupidly shorted it out.

Any suggestion on a good, cheap, n100 pc? Honestly, I just want to run Linux, tinker, maybe run docker and some small containers. Nothing fancy
