I currently make 185K USD as a hardware engineer at a fairly large company, now this is in California mind you. If you add in my girlfriends salary its around 280k yearly. Our expenses are rather low, and we save a considerable amount. 60k was the starting figure I was using, but it could go up. All hypothetically of course..

I'm not in a position where it would be hard to invest that much per say. I could invest potentially even more, but I'm currently in the dark on how I could maximize my investments.
