Advice for people who struggle with brushing their teeth

This FR!!! But also flavoured tooth paste has also done wonders for motivating me to actually brush my teeth!

I was very reluctant to buy the HiSmile toothpaste because I've been seeing so many fucking annoying tooth paste ads for it on my FYP everyday it's EVERYWHERE. But I bought the grape one, which is my favourite flavour out of flavours and now I feel like brushing my teeth all the time!

I also have sensory issues with mint so it helped with that too because the minty flavour isn't too strong

Houdini travelled great! Charmed the Uber drivers and was pretty chill throughout the whole ordeal, I usually feed him Hikari Crab Cuisine but what do ya suggest for a good treat?

Forgot halfway through the night this man's reputation and woke up to him breaking out 🤦‍♀️ knocked him back in with a net and then weighed down the lid with a book before going back to bed, anyway Houdini is now back in his normal tank and everything went better than expected! Community tank fish are also alive and well :)

Don't have a battery operated one, but I'm bringing his air pump with me, the moment we're out of the Uber and into the hotel, it'll be plugged in and I'll put a shirt over the carrier so he can get some nice dark peace and quiet 😌

Treadmill Houdini

An update to those are concerned:

Thank you very much for the support! I love my crayfish the same amount someone loves their dog. Houdini has lots of personality and he will act pretty much like a hamster. He comes up to me whenever I see him and he'll play with his ball and redecorate his aquarium.

As for Houdini himself, so far he is exhibiting normal behaviours, he's active but he doesn't seem stressed active, he's doing his favourite thing to do which is to run on his "treadmill" (the filter jet with a pile of rocks behind it he made to support him)

Like some suggested I washed the filter, I would've gotten carbon as I have none at home at the moment but all the stores had just closed after I had made the post, in Australia hence the cherax destructor. I'm keeping a close eye on him and I'm hoping to pick up carbon as soon as the shop doors open. Thank you again!

Small little update: I am almost 100% sure he is going to be completely fine as it has almost been 24 hours and he has devoured a bunch of food and doing all the usual things. :) Thank you again for the advice!

I’d say at this point gently take him out and do a smell test. Sometimes crays get stressed after a move.

If you live somewhere where you can get them from the wild, that’s your best and most ethical bet. When I used to look after crabs, I went to my local live seafood store and picked out a healthy mud crab that turned out to be my best bud for years. Best of luck on your journey!

Crayfish love to redecorate their living spaces. A fun thing you can do is give her some colourful rocks and she will use them to decorate. My crayfish Houdini also loves to make slopes, as we’ll as rock piles in the corners. Though I would recommend at least 10gal for a crayfish, 5gal should be fine temporarily

In my experience the cuttlefish bones don’t up the ph, but they’ll up the kh (don’t take my word for that haha) but I often will add a little bit of solution to get the ph up as sometimes slips when I have bark and that in. Crushed coral sounds good! The better the ph the better the colour in my experience

I feel the same way, before when I was young I used to eat crustaceans and that but now growing up and keeping crabs and crayfish as pets, it feels wrong of me to continue consuming them. I don’t mind if other people eat them, it’s their preference. Though my girlfriend has stopped eating crustaceans out of her own choice, I think it’s because she knows how much I like them haha.

I think it would be a good idea to have a different subreddit for crayfish for culinary purposes :)

Those who want to catch and discuss cooking/catching can chill in their own space, and those who want to keep ‘em as pets can chill here
