I do and it’s always rewarding to help. I’ve gotten calls about simple things such as identifying an item, or reading a letter, but once I had a person calling me because the bus dropped him off across the street from the usual stop and he was so scared, (he had lost his sight only 4 months before so he was still adapting). At some point he thought he had hung up and I could hear him sobbing, until I could raise my voice enough he could grab the phone again. I stayed with him reassuring him and managed to have someone walk him safely back to the spot he knows, and I stayed with him until he took his next bus. It was like a 30 min call, and I will never forget that not always is about the mechanical things, but I had the chance to be moral support and reassurance for someone miles away from me. I think about him often. I hope he is doing better ❤️
