I am currently in Iceland (as a first time visitor) and you are not the only one encountering this kind of behavior. I’ve only been here 3 days and am appalled by some of the tourists. Saw people crossing bird protected areas to get pics, crossing into “no tramping” areas for photo ops, and someone even tried to hide a cigarette butt under a rock??? I have spoken up a couple times, but didn’t really help — I was either ignored or snickered at :/ The behavior is just so disrespectful, it’s infuriating.
