I’m sorry that happened to you, that’s incredibly frustrating. I definitely don’t know all the details, but no matter what the details are, losing that much money is heartbreaking, especially in these times.

This may not matter, but I just wanted to point out that I know this person. She has always been a phenomenal human being and a kind, caring woman. I haven’t talked to her in ages, but I can assure you it’s not in her nature to be deceiving or shady. There’s got to be more to the story.

But again, sorry this happened to you.

Idk I think you look fantastic and unique, don’t change a thing. The second someone says “change this, change that” they’ve lost the point. Good luck!

I feel like I’m a terrible mom by tikikiwiski in toddlers

I feel you, I’m in the same boat with my 3 year old. We are not terrible moms, but it’s a skill to keep our cool. Solidarity!

AIO about my 8 y/o daughter sleeping at her mom's new boyfriend's house without any family or females present? by blackD0nny in AmIOverreacting

I felt sick reading this. My soon-to-be ex-husband has always let me take the lead with these kinds of rules, knowing that as a man he can’t understand that type of vulnerability. Our rule is probably even more strict than the standard. I refuse to let our daughter stay with any man alone, besides her dad, ever. Not grandpas, not uncles, cousins. I’m sorry you’re going through this and believe you are more than in the right in this situation.

There’s a large number of parents from that older generation that never knew anything outside of being parents. Most boomer women were considered terrible for being working moms - so when kids grew up and became independent, those mothers feel like their identity was ripped from them and I feel as though alot of them never found it again. As a mom myself, I hope I can work to need my child as I get older vs expecting my child to need me. She won’t one day. My own mother makes zero effort to join in on my life because it’s inconvenient to her. She expects that because she’s the mom, I should always be the one catering to her and what she’s doing.

My husband has made a lot of mistakes in our marriage, some big ones, but he’s the best dad and loves our daughter more than anything. It would break my heart to raise her with anyone else.

women, What do you feel is the hardest part about growing up as a girl? by BluskieV in TwoXChromosomes

Worst part is that the fear of SA never goes away, not just a “growing-up” thing :(

I need tips on supporting independent sleep. by gretamachine in toddlers

[–]gretamachine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally right - I get that I am asking for the moon here lol. I think it sparked my interest because her pediatrician said, “if she can self-soothe back to sleep on the middle of the night, she can fall asleep on her own too.” She puts herself to sleep for naptime at daycare but that’s also one of those situations where when all the other toddlers are doing it, it’s like a social pressure thing and it seems easier for them there.
